I took the Mangrove kayak tour with this company (owned by the lovely Rachel and Nego) while visiting the Dominical area a few years ago. It was SO incredible that I knew I wanted more. This time my fiance and I tried their ocean kayak tour. It was equally incredible! It was certainly more work (carrying the kayak to the water, heavy paddling in ocean and sometimes choppy water) but it was SO beautiful. We kayaked by the bluffs along the ocean and we even when THROUGH a couple of caves on the kayaks. It looked really scary at first but the tour guide, Nego, was so kind and encouraging that we all decided to go for it (though he would have happily taken any of us around the other way if we hadn't wanted to). I'm so glad we went for it though because it was SO beautiful and so fun! After we came back to shore, Rachel (Nego's wife) had a beautiful spread of fruit all ready for us. Once we'd finished the fruit, we went and explored the caves along the beach and swam in the water in the caves. What an incredible trip!! My fiance and I both loved it!
If you're looking for a workout and are up for the adventure to see something unique, then I'd definitely say the ocean tour is perfect. If you're looking for something more nature oriented and less physically demanding then the mangrove tour is fabulous! Truly, you can't go wrong. Both Nego and Rachel are excellent guides and you can really tell that they go out of their way to make sure you have a good tour and a good trip overall. In fact, they even gave us wonderful recommendations about other great tours in the area and helped us set them up and sort out all of the logistics. These two helped make our trip the wonderful one that it was! SO GRATEFUL! Thanks, Rachel and Nego - we'll definitely come back!
