This bar is in a little expat community called Escaleros. It is a bit challenging to get to initially. You keep thinking that surely you must have passed it. The road is steep and definitely only accessible to SUVs, horses or on foot. All the beer is in bottles. Storm makes an effort to bring in assorted foreign beers so this is one of the few places in the area that has a really decent selection of beers. He slings chicken wings of all flavors. I can't say that they are particularly amazing by US standards but considering that you are in the jungle on the side of a mountain, often without regular electricity, they are amazing. The electricity flickers on and off but with lots of ice and creativity, the party keeps going. We make it a point to visit at least once every time we come to the area. Everyone that is there is usually a resident - most likely from the States somewhere. Good conversation, dogs, and lots of small children wander in and out. Amazing views and good beer. What more can you ask for?
