Finca de Vida was spectacular. This was my first trip to Costa Rica and I would definitely do it again -at Finca de Vida. Accommodations were very comfortable and picturesque, the food was delicious, morning sun gazing and yoga on the yoga platform were amazing. Brian and Jody with the help of their staff made sure I was well taken care of. They can make it a restful quiet stay or as active as you'd like it to be with jungle hikes, the beach, etc. Ask Brian to let you sample the fresh Noni fruit -it's an unforgettable experience!

jody and brian are wonderful hosts. they gave me the opportunity to work as a volunteer along side chis kandell, a raw food chef from canada. it was a very inspirational experience. the green house and the rest of the land is just amazing. all rooms have a stunning view and there is an amazing bird life to watch and listen too. you have a vast rain forest to explore behide a mindblowing yoga platform. the heart-warming staff and the lovely decorations are just another additional wow-factor. the farm of life is a very special place and will become an oasis and land of miracles to many more poeple in the future.

A friend had recommended Finca de Vida to me saying it was a beautiful place to stay in Costa Rica. I couldn't agree more. It's in a lovely spot in the mountains not far from many points of interest including Diamante - the highest mountain in CR. We hiked up it and beheld a magical healing garden and majestic waterfall. Finca de Vida is and a true paradise for anyone who loves nature. It's a perfect vacation spot for anyone who is a raw vegan or anyone who feels they need a good, thorough cleansing. The grounds are a working organic farm with produce available to guests to pick and eat. The Chef, Wlco, prepared delicious raw vegan dishes too. The yoga hut high on the hill was great to visit each day too. The cabin we stayed in was clean, cozy. Jody and Brian were wonderful hosts (as were their three dogs). I look forward to returning there very soon.

Brian and Jody have created an elegant mountaintop resort of peace, healing, and connection. We felt completely at home from the moment we arrived, and our two night stay at the Cabin in the Orchard was not nearly long enough... in fact, they nearly had to kick us out as we totally fell in love with the place. Morning sungazing, afternoon waterfall hikes to Eric's farm and Nauyaca Waterfall and "mango sandwiches", and creating meals from the organic farm in their spacious Harvest House kitchen were the highlights of our stay. Their three dogs Cesar, Max and Mambo were the perfect companions to play and hike with too. Thanks for everything - we love you Finca de Vida!!

We loved Finca de Vida but getting there is a different story. Finca de Vida is a wonderful small resort set on a hilltop with awesome views of rainforests. I've never been anywhere like it. We had a hut with a deck overlooking a rainforest covered valley. There were many birds and butterflys flying nearby. Beautiful grounds and very peaceful. The hut we stayed in was basic but extremely clean and modern. The mattress was very firm but that seemed to be the case everywhere we stayed in Costa Rica. There were even birds chirping under the eves when I woke up the next morning. Brian and Jody were very hospitable. Especially, Brian who bent over backwards to make sure we were happy and took us on a great waterfall hike. This is a good place to come if you have health issues and are open to alternative medicine advice since Brian & Jody are both health coaches. You might be better off getting someone to drive you there who knows the way. Be warned if you choose to drive yourself. You must take a difficult 4 mile (approx.) drive on a rutted, hilly gravel road and this place is hard to find. We had a 4X4 vehicle (a must). However, as soon as we arrived at this incredible place the drive there seemed like a distant memory.

Your place is absolutely amazing and the energy is healing and magical. I am dreaming of going back for a longer stay. Love the farm, love the area and love all the great people I met while there. I highly recommend your place to anyone wishing to heal, to relax, to explore, to connect with nature and themselves or to benefit from the best Costa Rica has to offer. You guys are truly amazing and thanks for making paradise affordable to all!

I traveled to Finca de Vida with two of my kids (11, 13). We stayed for about two weeks and we had a wonderful time! Everything was perfect: the accommodations, rooms, food, people, everything. Brian and Jody, the owners and operators of the farm, are both wonderful people. They were very helpful and always willing to do anything we needed to make our stay more comfortable.
We stayed from Dec 16 2010 - Jan 4 2011 which is the transition period between the rainy and dry seasons. The weather was wonderful. At the farm it was warm, slightly overcast and breezy while down at the beach it was warm and sunny. Brian and Jody helped us connect with many of the local attractions (if you visit you HAVE TO do the Diamante waterfall hike).
My kids also had an amazing time. The farm really is an ideal destination; whether you are looking to just get away from it all and chill in a hammock or you're looking for an adventure vacation filled with hikes, waterfalls and beaches; this place has it all.
Getting to/from the farm to/from the San Jose airport wasn't that big of a deal. Jody helped us line up a bus from the airport to Dominical and from there she arranged for a 4x4 cab ride to the farm. All in all, it took about 4-5 hours to get from San Jose to the farm.
I have already recommended Finca de Vida to family and friends and I'll continue to do so. My family and I cannot wait to visit again.
