Food: fresh, home-made, not amazing but definitely tasty, well-seasoned, and did I mention fresh? Had an order of fish tacos (the tortillas were a little soggy, but everything on the plate could be eaten with a fork, and was fresh and delicious), side of fried (sweet) plantains (which was delicious with the sour cream that came with the fish tacos), and an order of fish casado, which was a plate with the freshly grilled fish, rice, beans, and salad with a tangy dressing. Nothing fancy, but all was delicious and again, fresh.
Atmosphere: Right on the beach, lots of locals/hippie surfer types, several tourists; our waitress was a local with pretty good English, and a blonde female American ex-pat was working the bar; owners must be Baltimore Ravens fans; reggae music on the speakers and surfing videos on the TV above the bar; fun and lively, especially for a Monday night.
Price: About $35 for two pina coladas, two Imperials, and dinner, so, not bad at all; takes credit cards.
Overall: If you are in the area, definitely worth a visit! Safe bet, and English speaking staff to make it easy for tourists.
