Just perfect. Back gate opens onto a classic tropical beach, all palm trees and rainforest - and very few people. Have fun in the waves or try the surf school.
The landscaped gardens include lizards and iguanas, you can pick fresh avocados and herbs.
If you have a car it's perfect for visiting parque national Manuel Antonio (40 mins north), uvita (30 mins south) or Corcovado. Lots of zip wires, hiking, wildlife boat trips and amazing views.
Or you can stop a bus at the road, or take a taxi into dominical for $4. But once we discovered the delicious meals at Por Que No, a 5 minute walk down the beach, we rarely left. You can even buy fresh fish at the other end of the beach (back onto the road) & cook it on the barbecue by the pool.
Each cabin has a/c but we never turned it on. All we needed was the fans and the (well netted) windows & the hammock to
lie in. And, surprisingly, there were virtually no Mosquitos.
Richard and Diane are so friendly and even drove us to the glorious vegetable market at San isidro. Great for dog lovers too, as they have six well behaved adopted strays & at least one is likely to adopt you.
A glorious place to relax with nature.More
