This was one of our favorite places on our 23 day road trip on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. Reserve your bungalow in advance—this is a popular small place. If you travel this far south, to Dominical, this is the very best place to stay. Right on a magnificent beach, with a pool. Clean sheets, towels, and air. Excellent rates. The owner was the drummer for “Grand Funk Railroad” and is quite a character. What I read about Dominical is true—a lot of expatriates live here. Musicians take turns at local restaurants/bars on different nights of the week and play. Loved it. The pictures tell it all.

I had read about coconut grove prior to our trip but had not booked anywhere for our stay in Dominical. After checking out a few places in the center of town (none of which were in the same class of accommodation), we went to Coconut grove. Rich and Diane were great and gave us the choice between a few casitas. The place was perfect. The casita was nice, the bed was comfortble and the kitchen was well equipped, they even provide you with coffee. The pool area is awesome (we are now planning on building a similar setup). Rich was more than helpful with navigating the area. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in Beach House 3 and it was really comfortable for our family with two teenagers. The kitchen was well equipped so we could cook up some of the veggies bought at the stand in town. The girls enjoyed the pool and watching the lizards and iguanas crawling in the coconut trees. The fireflies at night were magical. We spent a lot of time on the porch, but also liked having the option of air conditioning on those muggy afternoons. The beach out front was amazing to walk on and we went to the far end to swim (extreme tides, so be careful). Watching the waves crash on the rocks was very dramatic. Richard and Diane were very nice and hospitable and gave us some good tips. This would be a great place for a family reunion.

My wife and I only wished we had more than 2 days to relax in this beautiful setting. The Abrahams were genial and gracious hosts with friendly dogs, and the pictures don't begin to convey the intimacy of the vibrant and well-manicured grounds. It makes for a very peaceful setting for the morning yoga sessions. The cabinas are quite comfortable and the ac worked great, as did the fridge and gas range. Overall, a very relaxing time that I'd recommend to anyone.

Nice and cozy cabins with a small kitchen (cabin #1). They also have bigger places to rent. Cant get any closer to the beach and waves than this. Richard and Diane were very helpful. They have a nice pool and place to relax. Dominical is just a couple minutes up the road. They have been there 20 years and know the whole area. Nice place to hang out.
