We had a really nice time at Apache Spirit Ranch. It is so unique and laid back. Perfect little replica of an old west town with a great saloon, food, and horseback riding. We stayed in the Newspaper room - at the end of the "road" with front and back porches. Super quiet and relaxing and just 2 miles out of Tombstone. Tim and all the staff were really nice, helpful and seem to really enjoy their jobs. Highly recommend taking advantage of all the horseback riding you can do, and also the Cowboy School was really informative and beneficial. Wish were were able to be there longer to experience even more of what they had to offer. Just remember that you are on a ranch in the desert - there are critters, taranchulas, snakes, etc. and a lot of dust and dirt! Also, we were on a motorcycle - it is a bit tricky on the gravel and dirt roads if you are going to try the same.

We traveled with jandoets.nl a great travel-advisor in the netherlands. This hotel is magnificent, a very good service, even when you come very late in the evening( there is food also late).
The price is good and for people who love horse-ryding"GO FOR IT".
A very nice manager with his staff and there is a swimming pool even on the prairie. A good service and there is nearby Tomstone village( known from the films"Wyatt Earp").
The wetter is lovely, the rooms are great, so go to them for a nice holiday with much horse-ryding.
M.B. from Holland. Thanks Peter(manager) we had a lovely holiday at your ranch man.

Room Tip: Dear Customers, we had a good room with 2 rooms and a great bed inside. Very very quite. Lovely.

We stayed at the end of June 2012 for my 50th birthday, this is a quiet time of year for the ranch so not all of the entertainment was available. However, whatever we wanted to do the managers Tim & Julia went out of their way to make possible. The rides out to the Petroglyph site, disused railway lines and mines with the wranglers Jenna & Brad were spectacular. The ranch has no shortage of horses so whatever your riding ability there will be a horse suited to your needs. My wife has no interest in horses but enjoyed the ranch and its facilities regardless and in particular enjoyed the horse drawn wagon ride out on the old trails. The restaurant and the food were as good as promised but we felt like we were more part of the family at meal times eating with family and friends rather than just eating out. The rooms and facilities were excellent and clean. The weather was hot but not uncomfortably so, over 100 most days. The pool was an excellent place to cool down. We did not have a single complaint and would recommend the ranch whole heartedly.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Wyatt Earp suite which has fantastic views across to the dragoon mountains.

Tim, Julia, Brad, and the rest of the staff were great! I learned a lot about Horseback Ridng (Thanks Brad) and Tim and Julia were the perfect Hosts. The food was great, I've never eaten so well in my life! I tried things I'd never tried before ( The cactus was AMAZING) and my dietary needs (low Sodium) were met expertly. Watress/ Bartender Kendell even made me a batch of sweet tea! The rooms are spacious and well kept, the service was top notch. Every need was met with speed and efficiency. The Ranch is simply beautifull and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a TRUE Cowboy experiance. I had looked for something like this for over 5 years, came to find out this is the only one in the Country of it's kind! A must do vacation for anyone looking to get away and enjoy the Old West.

Room Tip: Book early, With only 17 guest houses they fill up quickly.

I capitalize RANCH because the negative comments come from either groupon purchasers who seem to expect everything for nothing or guests who expect a 5 star urban resort. This is place is intended to be an 1880's western experience. Guess what....dirt roads, a slower pace just enjoying the day and riding horses is what it is all about. I spent 4 nights. The staff were wonderful, making sure I had what I needed and was happy. The room was spacious and charming. It is like being in a delightful little western town. I don't eat red meat so the chef always prepared something special for me.....way more delicious food than I could ever eat. But the highlight? Horseback riding!!! The wranglers were wonderful and the scenery absolutely gorgeous. If you want a fast paced, pristine atmosphere, go to the city. If you want to enjoy a bit of the old west, come here, sit down, relax and enjoy the serenity.

Had the opportunity to stay at The Apache Spirit recently on business near Tombstone. We had a total of 5 rooms. Each room is a theme room modeled after the original town of Tombstone. We had the 'Jail', the 'Blacksmith Shop', 'Grand Hotel', 'Bordello' and one more. What a great experience! The resort is located a mile or so north of the main Allen St attraction of Old Tombstone, on a dirt road. Its amazing how they have captured the essence of the old west here, with trail rides, a saloon, and many other outdoor activities. Well done! The manager of the hotel and his staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were very nice, clean and comfirtable. Will stay here on all future trips to the area.

Room Tip: Choose from many of the theme rooms. The staff will help you make the right selection.

Loved our thursday night stay at the ranch. The rooms were very large, well decorated and clean. Had Keurig coffee maker in room with nice selection of coffees and teas. Staff was extremely welcoming and made us feel at home. The ranch is beautiful with great views. Especially enjoyed the reptile show that was put on that evening. We are from Arizona but found the show to be extremely informative and entertaining. Especially loved the fried prickly pear cactus and steaks we had for dinner. Definitely worth another visit!

Room Tip: All rooms are terrific....we spent the night in 'jail' and throughly enjoyed it.
