We asked the hostess at the Visitor Center and several of the characters who are part of the street show in Tombstone what their personal favorite place for lunch would be, and several mentioned the Crystal Palace. The ambience is right out of the old west with a long and beautiful carved mahogany or cherrywood bar which appeared to be original. Several characters came in while we were eating and bellied up to the bar. Our male server was dressed in period costume as was a female server in the back of the room in a short 1980s barmaid outfit with fish net stockings. However, she had straight long blond hair (ala surfer look) and wore tennis shoes -- not exactly in keeping with the ambience. The food was merely OK -- small order of nachos which were cold and bland except for the jalapeños, and a grilled chicken sandwich -- but was reasonably priced. My margarita was excellent, though, and service was friendly and efficient. Total bill for one margarita, one draft beer, half-order of nachos, and grilled chicken sandwich, including tip, was $32.29.
