The Birdcage is fun! In it, you get to see the Faro table Doc Holliday dealt at, you also get a great history of the wild wild west. I mean this is where everyone who was anyone back in the day performed! I found the history interesting, the "soiled doves" chambers were fascinating. Well worth your time, and the price of admission.

This was a very enjoyable self guided tour. I enjoyed seeing the authentic pieces and items throughout and could just imagine a live show up on stage. This building does need some attention and it would be a shame to lose it. Possibly, a guided tour with a very colorful character to tell an outlandish story or two of the shenanigans that went on there.

Neat place for historical items and the building is really neat to tour..though I think they should get rid of the mannequins, esp the non human one.

My family and I went to this building the night we arrived in Tombstone, attracted by its architecture and by the fact that they were announcing a tour.

The tour prove to be a Ghost tour supposedly to let you experience the ghosts that the guide assure are living there. In that sense it was really a trap. However, the building is precious and the collection of artifacts is also worth the visit.

They have an original bar, a cash machine, paintings, gambling tables and furniture, all original. The place was not renovated since the 1800, which has of course pros and cons. The pros are that you can still see original wall paper and floor with holes made by cowboys and feel like you are really entering history. The cons are that the building and the collection seem not being care of and I´m afraid it might not resist too much. There is dust everywhere in the objects and furniture, it´s possible to see that wall paper is disappearing, there are water infiltration from the rain and so on. The space is clearly in need of care. Don´t take me wrong, I don´t think that the place should be transformed and loose its originality, but it is requiring a minimum care that could help to preserve it for the future generations. Plus, the way the objects are displayed also didn´t respect the original setting and could be much better organized.

But all in all, it´s an special place to visit in Tombstone. A guide tells the histories about the actresses and dancers that used to work there and their way of life, as well as histories about the gentlemen that use to go there for gambling.

In my opinion the Ghost tour is a terrible invention that maximum could be offered as an option to those who want to participate. More efforts should be put in preserving and organizing better the museum.
