“Couldn't find it!”
Reviewed July 31, 2012

I would loved to have found it and checked it out however there isn't any signs to guide the way. With the Border Patrol checkpoint right about where the road is to turn off on distracting you. It was just too much of a hassle to find. Please make signs on the road so it's easier to find!

“great ghost town with history”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

Great little spot to visit if you list ghost towns and history. Some of the remaining buildings have been retrofitted, and there's an interpertive trail. Also, a gift shop with informed docents.

“Actually a good use of our tax dollars”
Reviewed April 21, 2010

This is the most intact ghost town in the state and is just about 10 miles outside Tombstone. Its maintained by the Bureau of Land Management. There are several buildings intact. The schoolhouse has been renovated and is open on the weekends. It looks like they are working on the general store. There are plenty of historical markers detailing the history of the town and building. The trails are well maintained. Its about a 1/2 mile walk to the cemetery, which is in disrepair but worth a visit. Another mile walk walk will take you to the Old Mill (which we did not visit) and then on around to the river. About a 3 mile round trip. A tip.....we saw lots of pottery and glass shards as well as a few intact bottles. It is illegal to remove these artifacts and there are FBI signs stating such. It was very interesting and worth the detour.

“Good and it is being improved”
Reviewed January 29, 2010

Pretty cool little ghost town a ways outside of Tombstone. Several buildings still up, others being renovated, a sad hilltop cemetary in disrepair, and pretty good signage explaining the history of this former town. Good hiking trails cover the area. Worth an hour or so of exploring.
