We went in December, so definitely off-season. We got there late, but were able to watch the sunset, and look out at the stars. It was beautiful.

Despite having the heat on all day before we got there, it was quite chilly. The beds were small, and there wasn't anything or anyone else around at all, but it was a great way to end our road trip. So quiet and peaceful

Thank you for your kind words. It is very quiet here in December but the lake is so beautiful and peaceful.

I went late in the season, October 2nd. So the place was almost closed, but not quite We chatted with the people there, and could see that "in season", the place would be a nice place to visit. There's a camp-ground, a trailer park, and a motel, of sorts. We didn't look in the rooms, but they looked well taken-care-of from the outside. The store sold all the typical camping supplies, and the snack bar looked okay. I'd like to go back "In Season" and see what the place is like then. Overall, a positive opinion of the place.

This hotel and restaurant was built in the mid-1940s but they've kept it up well it's clean. Basically has everything you need. Lakefront rooms cost a little more, don't think I'd spend it but would pay extra for the full kitchenette. We had room fourteen, not a lake front room, it just had a small refrigerator. it was spacious and although older in really good shape. I knocked off one star because of the slow shower drain and it had a fish smell the prior tenants had been fishing I told the management and they did their best to fix it. We ate at the restaurant 2 nights and the food was decent, similar to a coffee shop but the place is very remote, very quiet and for that alone we will be back. Boat launch, no problem.

We decided to see a new spot after leaving Willow Beach and chose Temple Bar. The drive is nothing but desert and that is why we loved it. We were one of two cars on the road. Since it is summer, I suppose there are fewer visitors. When we arrived at the marina we were surprised to see a motel, restaurant and store, along with the expected marina. The best part of the trip was the sighting of a Desert Tortoise crossing the road. Of course we had to get out and take a lot of pictures to make sure we had a good one. This is the only time we have seen one in the wild so it was special to us.

You are very lucky to see the tortoise I have been out in this desert area for years and have yet to see one in the wild. I hope you enjoyed our corner of Lake Mead

Temple Bar is a jewel. The airstrip makes it super convenient for us. I like the courtesy of the employees, the cleanliness of the facilities the amenities offered. The bar and restaurant are a great convince. Best onion rings in town!
