Location is close to airport (shuttle), close to interstate. Not far to restaurants/mostly fast food. Chandler is about 10-15 min away w/large variety of sit down restaurants. All the staff amazingly great, they greet you with a smile, and I have been here for over a month, they are always gracious and helpful. Camelback Mtn is not far if you are into hiking, Tombstone is a 3 hr drive if you have the time!

Room tip: If you like quiet, ask for a room that does not overlook the pool.

We love to stay at Comfort Suites but won't stay at this one again. The a/c in the room ran continuously loud, even when target temp was achieved. Eggs at breakfast were runny and the hash browns were tasteless.

Room tip: Third floor is quiet.

Allow me to apologize on behalf of our hotel for failing to meet your expectations on your recent visit. I have shared your feedback with Maintenance and Breakfast supervisors to ensure we handle these types of situations differently in the future.
Again, thank you for your time and valuable feedback. We sincerely appreciate it and hope you will give us another chance to provide you with superior service and accommodations on your next visit to Tempe.

Kind regards,

The hotel was clean enough. The morning staff was great! But the woman who checked us in at 10 p.m. was not welcoming. She had a very blasé attitude. Our biggest complaint is that when we got to the hotel after five hours of traveling, my husband went to get a drink from the jar of water with fruit slices in it, and it was warm. Yuck! Not a good first impression. Breakfast was standard and fine. I couldn’t tell if the hot tub was cleaned and treated with chemicals or not, and we asked the front desk, and they seemed to think it was ok, so we removed the cover and used it. None of the doors we used to get inside and outside of the hotel required key cards. Those were all broken. The pool keycard didn’t work, so be careful if you have kids who can’t swim. Dangerous if a toddler somehow got out there. They could drown. The air conditioner in the room made loud noises, so we turned it off and opened the window. Overall we paid 208 total, including taxes, for two nights though Hotwire, so you get when you pay for.

One would think since Phoenix is Choice Hotel’s headquarters that they would keep the hotels in better condition. Bathroom sink cracked. Picture frame peeling, blackout drapes peeling so light shines through. Furniture scratched badly. Bed was comfortable. There is a nice sized referigerator for a hotel. They have usb connectors by the bed is nice. Less than spectacular breakfast. Packaged sweet rolls and muffins. Rooms are dark, old harvest gold decor.

So I’ll point out that I only stayed here to be with a sports team. I am a fairly dedicated visitor to two larger brands that have a range of properties that are not budget hotels- I say this so you can take what you want from my review. I was VERY hesitant after reading earlier reviews, however we were greeted by a friendly staff member and quickly checked in. The rooms are old, as everyone says, and the furniture is saggy and worn. It’s an old building and aside from possibly refreshing bedding colors, not much has been invested. However, I didn’t see any bugs and our heating/cooling functioned - although it did run 24/7 to keep it cool and it’s not a quiet hum. The property has potential- if the owners would put any money into a true update/remodel. That being said, I actually got an OK night sleep. Breakfast area is small and choices are limited and not terribly high quality. Easy access right off the freeway.
