“Great place to stay in Tempe”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

Friendly staff, great location, clean rooms. We had a great stay here. Highly recommended for SOMA or IMAZ. Value was about what I would expect for the price we paid. Our only complaint would be some of the rowdier girls staying in our section of rooms that would come back drunk and make tons of noise, but that's certainly not the hotel's fault! Being so centrally located was great as we could walk everywhere!

Spent 4 nights at this hotel for a conference at the beginning of October. The hotel is like a cool, calm oasis from the desert heat. The receiption area is spacious and airy and the rooms are large and comfortable. Free and fast wi-fi in the room, comfy bed, lovely bathroom with top quality products. The shuttle service is efficient and friendly.
The conference facilities were excellent and the food was delicious. The hotel is conveniently located in Tempe - an easy walk into 'town' to go to restaurants or catch the train into Phoenix. I also walked up Hayden Butte one morning to watch the sun rise over the desert - a great way to start the day before sitting in the conference! Highly recommended hotel

Room Tip: Try not to get a room on Mill Avenue side - quite a lot of street noise

Thank you for posting your review of Tempe Mission Palms on Tripadvisor. We were glad to see you enjoyed the guest room and conference facility. Our location is one of our best assets, especially for catching a great restaurant on Mill Avenue or a hike up "A" mountain. Next time you are here, be sure to check out Tempe Town Lake! Thanks again for your review, and we hope to see you and your group again soon.

While we only stayed for one night, the staff was very helpful and polite. They were able to get us a room only 2 doors down from a couple we were with. The pillows and bed were very comfortable which is always a plus. If you have a courtyard room, try to get a room on the 3rd of 4th floor. The trees have grown pretty tall and a lot of the 2nd floor rooms are blocked by these trees (there is a door on the outside wall of the room that opens up.) I would definetly go back!

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the 3rd of 4th floor if you have a courtyard view

My compliments to DentiMax/TotalMD for selecting this hotel for their annual conference. The staff members were very attentive and courteous throughout our stay. Although the hotel is in the path of aircraft coming into Sky Harbor Airport and near college party hangouts, the sound-proofing of the the rooms kept any noise at bay.

The only "inconvenience" upon arrival was that our bathroom door had no privacy latch and the door would slide open by itself (kinda kills the privacy of the reading room). Also the phone cord was faulty, causing the sound to go in and out when talking to someone. The hotel staff had both problems fixed within the hour. Excellent job. I would recommend they add a privacy latch on the bathroom door though, especially for families traveling with "curious" children.

The complimentary cocktails upon arrival, incredible views and the unbelievably well-stocked snack rooms they provided for conference attendees all added to a wonderful experience. Also, kudos to the lightning-fast doormen! My only regret was not having enough time to enjoy the rooftop pool. We'll definitely stay here again.

We hope your next conference will be held here again, and that you will get to enjoy the rooftop pool. Thank you for taking the time to review us on Tripadvisor.

I had read many favorable reviews about this hotel on trip advisor, so we decided to give it a try. My husband, myself, daughter and granddaughter all stayed for a couple of nights. The hotel is pretty clean and pretty enough, but being right across from the college was not fun. The parties were going on VERY loudly until 2-3am! No one at the hotel did anything to quiet anyone. Even my daughter who is young thought it was way to much noise. Couple that with hard beds and pillows and none of us got a good nights sleep.
I will say that the hotel food was surprisingly good and affordable. The rooftop pool was okay, the pictures made it look much prettier than it was.
All in all it was not a pleasant experience.

Thank you for choosing Tempe Mission Palms for your recent visit to Tempe, and for your recent review on Tripadvisor.
We were concerned to hear about your experience during your stay. We understand during your recent stay, you were inconvenienced by noise coming from our neighboring establishments. We would like to assure you that your undistrubed sleeping comfort is of the utmost importance to us and that we are in continual contact with the entertainment venues that provide music and entertainment into the late hours. We will make every effort to ensure that you will have a restful night's sleep during your future stays. I know that does not change your experience but I hope that you can feel confident that we heard your concern and are definitely doing something about it.
We appreciate you compliments on our food, and will pass that on to our culinary team. Again, we are sorry for the noise, and we thank you for your feedback.

The rooms are spacious and the hotel is laid out beautifully. The courtyard is just gorgeous and every time we go there I love just sitting outside of this gorgeous place. The conference rooms are all nicely decorated and the staff is always attentive. A major bonus is all that is within walking distance.
