This is great place to stay for parents/families visiting ASU. It's close to the Tempe Campus and the Airport. Two room suites are very clean, spacious and well appointed. There is breathing room, your family isn't crapped up and on top of each other. Large sectional sofa-bed, wet bar with sink and refridgerator and a desk in one room, two queen sized beds in a very open spacious second area. Tech hub and plugs for all your electronic gadgets and gaming systems. Bar downstairs, hot breakfast daily, Starbucks Coffee, and free Wi-Fi in your room.

Good staff with great attitudes to help all guests and make it fun to stay there. The room is clean and comfortable and breakfast (included) was better than most for a lobby 'freebie'.
I answered their review and commented how I didn't like the fact they brainwash their guests with Fox Channel (can't call it news) in the lobby and received an appropriate response that they do normally tune to 'politically neutral' news stations, like CNN, but occasionally allow guests to change the channel. What's funny is I didn't see any octogenarians staying here that would have requested that channel.
For the value, this was the perfect place.

We needed a room for an overnight shopping trip. This was it. We didn't spend much time there which was good because the AC isn't as powerful as it should be. The beds were double beds and the bathroom was extremely small. Other than that. The breakfast sandwiches were awesome and the staff was very nice.

Stayed overnight at Hyatt Place Tempe after arriving at Sky Harbor at 8:30 PM. Waited for the hotel shuttle - shuttle was packed full w/ passengers and luggage. Room was fine at that hour, who is going to complain. Hotel is on the fringe of Tempe and nothing is near it (no restaurants or shops). Another hotel - Marriott was next to it on this service road. Looks nice from the outside. Inside was nicely decorated. Rooms were nicely appointed, though cramped for four.

Portable refrigerator, countertop and a bar sink. No utensils, microwave or other kitchen needs. Small working desk and task chair. L-shaped sectional that had a pull out full size bed, which our two kids used (9 and 11 yrs). Large flat screen that was positioned between the "living room" and the bedroom so you could share viewing. King size bed was nice. AC unit made the bedroom cool, but could not really cool down the living room - no vents and not enough power to push cool air about 15 feet.

Problem was the bathroom - faucet on the sink was installed incorrectly, so at low flow the water splashed all over the counter, puddling behind the faucet. Not much counter space for cosmetics and toothbrushes and stuff from two kids. Worst part was the shower/toilet, which was in its own separate room, which was fine, but the room was so small, you had to stand next to the toilet to close the door. Also, poorly lit. For four, the room was too small.

Breakfast was nice - french toast, breakfast sandwiches, bagels, oat meal, cereal, cut fruit and fresh juice. At 7, the breakfast buffet is really full, coffee carafes were emptying faster than they could make.

OK stay. Great for two people, seems like a layover for business travelers.

Room Tip: King bed room is really too tight for more than two people.

Within the last 10 days this middle class teacher has visited the Arizona Biltmore and a Diamond resort in Sedona, AZ. Tonight before flying home to my humble abode we needed a hotel close to the airport, reasonably priced and with a shuttle so we could drop off our rental and still get to the airport in the morning. The Hyatt Place, Tempe, met the challenge, and then exceeded our expectations! Nice comfortable room and an amazing staff including Daniel the evening shuttle driver! This guy rocks! He was very helpful and kind! I would stay here again just because he is so nice!

I am always impressed by the Hyatt Place hotels! Great SIZE room...comfortable...GREAT breakfast! All around impressive!

If there is a negative it has to be the Exercise room. IT has 3 treadmills and to incumbent bikes. THe dumbells are great! Small room!

Other than that everything is great!

The first room we checked into smelled awful like dirty, sweaty, socks. We went down to the front counter and the staff was very nice. Got us into another room right away. The next room smelled fine and everything was good until later that night we realized that the shower had not been cleaned and it was nasty. Dirt and hair everywhere. When we went down to the front counter the staff told us sorry and that there was no housekeeping in right now. They offered us a new room yet again but nothing else. Very dissapointing stay as my favorite hotel is the Hyatt Place. Book somewhere else in the area
