The course is interesting, with little hills, water, and natural areas. If you hit straight down the course, you'll do great. If you're not such a straight hitter, you may lose lots of balls. We are not the best golfers, so we found the course challenging.

We played Coyotes Lakes October 27 and had a great time, even though our scores may not have been what we wanted. We found the course to be very well maintained and challenging. But not so challenging that the average golfer would be overly frustrated. Lots of twists and turns with undulating fairways. Thoroughly enjoyed our day at Coyotes Lakes! And price was right!

You wind thru the community and yes you will loose balls and won't even want to attempt to retrieve them in some of the desert area or curvy rock areas. It has its challenges, have to be a bit of a straight shooter but good practice. Good place to get a practice round in.

Greens have not been punched or sanded in years. Very little sand in the bunkers and what there is has been raked up the sides for sone inexplicable reason. This is a very fun golf course that has fallen into disrepair due to lack of maintenance. Only recently have the trees been trimmed up. Most were hanging to the ground which slows play considerably. 5 hour round not unusual as they have 7 minute tee times. The life is being squeezed out of this former gem. The cafe opens and closes pretty much by whim. However, they do have an excellent summer rate, $99 buys a pass where you pay $5 any time. There is also a very good Men's Club that plays on Wednesdays from October thru May.

I live in Surprise, AZ and generally have to travel a good distance for golf. However, we discovered a decent course not far away. There are plenty of challenges here, especially the narrow fairways lined with houses, and the course is beautiful and well maintained.
