Seriously the worst Mexican food I've ever had we had a large party of 7 and no a single one of us liked what we order, no one ate their food because it was that bad. The server was very friendly.

Went to eat on Friday night with my wife and mother in law for dinner. Cute place. Interesting menu. Food quality was adequate, but slightly overpriced for what it was. Service was marginal at best, no "Up Sell", no suggestions or an appetizer or soup or salad. Lack of quality control by servers and other service people, tables set with dirty silverware. My biggest issue with the place besides I didn't think that the food was particularly well seasoned, were the mixed vegetables and the vegetables in the Vegetable Fajitas. Come on guys, spend some real money on the veggies, buy something besides the cheapest veggies out there, that means buy something besides carrots, zucchini and crook neck squash!

We love Mexican food and had just moved to Surprise. We found this neat restaurant by chance and had a delightful evening there with friends.

While many family Christmas gatherings require a turkey or ham, in our family it's green corn tamales, cheese and chicken enchiladas from Macayo's! And, of course, lunches and dinner all through the year at Macayo's are frequent. Prices are good, service is attentive and the food are excellent. And then the salsa, ahhhhh, that salsa makes my mouth water! Macayo's is an Arizona tradition with several locations throughout the Valley. I believe we've managed to eat at all of them. One cannot leave the Valley of the Sun without enjoying good Mexican food, and Macayo's rates among the best!

The food is really, really good. We love the carnitas, whether in a burrito, chimi, or as a plate item. The burritos are all meat, no filler like rice or beans. If you like things more spicy, you can add to it, or ask the kitchen to spice it up for you.
