We booked this one day tour after seeing their flyer at our resort’s front desk and we are so glad we did. Ron and Jolie are the consummate tour guides and gave us a very entertaining and full day of touring Sedona and the surrounding area. Our first stop was Montezuma’s Castle, a fascinating remnant of ages past when an indigenous culture connected with the Hohokum’s built a towering cliff side residential complex(built right into the cliff) overlooking the beautiful Verde valley. This is a national monument and we were thoroughly entertained by a Park ranger who really knew his stuff. Too much history to repeat here but if you’re interested in the people’s who lived here more than 1,000 years before Columbus you’ll enjoy this.

Next was the beautiful town of Sedona. While we’ve been here several times, we had never seen it with some snow on the ground and that made it even more beautiful. Had a delicious lunch at one of the downtown restaurants and walked around a bit sampling some of the shops as well as a handy ice cream shop! Also visited the beautiful church on the mountain. A definite “must see” any time you’re in Sedona! Sedona is a must see if you have even just a few days in Arizona !

The afternoon was filled visiting some wineries in the Cornville area as well as Cottonwood. Great wine and the scenery made it even more spectacular. An extra added treat was listening to the beautiful music of Ron and Jo in one of the wineries who are not only exceptional tour guides but also extremely talented musicians.

Got back to Phoenix after a great day of touring with memories of a perfect trip. Definitely recommend ROJO tours!
