What a lovely "jewel in the desert"!

We took friends from Ireland to see the Southern Arizona sights, and stayed with Tom and Cheryl in Sonoita for one night. The house was decorated beautifully for Christmas, and even though it was cold outside the warm atmosphere and hospitality more than compensated! Tom met us out on the front sidewalk as we arrived!

Our rooms were cozy and clean - and wonderfully appointed. We loved the "hacienda" look of the place. They have done a great job of incorporating local culture into the ambience. Breakfast was fabulous (croissant cinnamon toast - how cool is that???) - and we were joined at the table by our hosts for lively and interesting conversation...

Thanks Tom and Cheryl, for helping us entertain our guests - we'll be back!

We spent 3 nights at La Hacienda and I would love to go back again. Tom & Cheryl truly have the gift of Hospitality. Jazzie & Mollie were very welcoming greeters on the property. We spent 3 nights in the Railroad Room & were very happy with the room. The breakfasts each day were a great start to the day. We enjoyed visiting with Tom & Cheryl at breakfast each day.

There is plenty to do in the area and we found the Hacienda to be nice and convenient to lots of activities. Kartchner Caverns and Tombstone are only a short drive away to the east. You can taste wines at 10 wineries right in the area. For bird watchers, there are great locations to hike or sit and observe nearby.

Our trip was over too soon. We will have to find a way to go back soon. Tom & Cheryl have paid attention to every detail.

Rooms were clean and welcoming. Tom and Cheryl were accommodating and made a delicious breakfast. The best part of the trip was sipping coffee on the front porch, listening to the birds while taking in the view and then being called to breakfast. We would love to visit the La Hacienda de Sonoita again.

We stayed there this last weekend 4/14 and 15 in the Grand Canyon room. The room was immaculate, decorated with the Grand Canyon theme, and had a gas fireplace, which since the weather turned on us for day one of our trip - was put to good use! The property is on 40 acres, so really helps to feel the wide open spaces. The owners Tom and Cheryl are so gracious and helpful, and built a lovely fire for us in the common area to enjoy our wine in the evening. On our 2nd morning, they joined us for breakfast, and we had the best visit, felt like we were with old friends ! Jazzie and Mollie are their two lab dogs, who are the meeters and greeters of the place, well mannered and sweet as can be.
The property is very close driving distance to the wine tasting rooms in the area, makes for some pleasant afternoons.
I can't think of enough nice things to say ... can't wait to go back... loved the stay there.
(Note, there isn't a swimming pool or a fitness center - I tried to "unclick" that option, it wouldn't let me)

Room Tip: All the rooms are great ... I liked the Grand Canyon room, due to the fireplace !

We've stayed here a few times and like the quite atmosphere. The dogs are cute and the owners, Tom and Cheryl are super nice. The beds are comfy and the rooms are clean. No TV, which is totally fine, as far as amenities, there is no shampoo, conditioner or lotion (so bring your own), I forgot to pack some once. We usually just drive into town for dinner and during the day we of course visit wine country. La Hacienda is the perfect place for a quick getaway! However, if you prefer a carb-free breakfast you should probably ask when you make your reservation. Breakfast is good tho! I'm sure that we'll stay here again!
