“The ultimate experience of B&B”
Reviewed May 11, 2012

Small town, the cutest Bed and Breakfast you have ever seen, the most interesting couple that own it and fabulous breakfast.............. what more do you want. I loved how every room is decorated differently with a nice, relaxing view of the patio where the fountain is. All rooms have a fireplace of some kind (one I saw had a wood burning one). They have this German/Dutch pancakes they call German Babies that are to die for. Craig and Joanna are the ultimate hosts; very friendly and kind. We loved our long, relaxing conversation with them during breakfast. This is a MUST experience.

We spent two nights at the Heritage Inn, allowing us to explore the White Mountain area and the Painted Desert/Petrified Forrest. Innkeepers Joann and Craig are warm and gracious. They even provided a CD to narrate the driving tour through the national park. Our room was delightfully cozy, thoroughly clean, and well furnished. The gardens of the inn are lovely, too. There is a large front porch and a large brick patio in the rear. Many tables, chairs, and even a hammock for lounging. Breakfast in the sunny dining room each morning was great! A variety of options were freshly prepared, and always included fresh fruit and juice. Joann was a great cook! Snowflake does not offer many options for dining in the evening, but good choices are available just a few miles to the south in Sholow or Pinetop.

Room Tip: Rooms in out building seem to be quieter.

If you're heading for the Petrified Forest/Painted Desert area, the Heritage Inn in Snowflake is a very comfortable place to stay. The home and property are charming, as are the hosts, Craig and British Joanna. Rooms are quite comfortable and private, breakfast is wonderful, and the hosts are helpful in every way. During our stay we met a well-traveled couple from Tucson who were repeat visitors, so that's another strong recommendation.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms are larger.

If you want a place to escape the heat and bustle of the city... this is it. Heritage Inn is nestled between a spattering of small towns and perched on a quintessential main street in the high desert. The Inn is rich with history, comfortable and cozy. Breakfast is not to be missed. Make sure to order the German babies-- a delectable egg treat served with butter for spreading, lemon for spritzing and powdered sugar for smothering... YUM.
Host Craig and Joanne were most gracious.

Snowflake is a nice quiet little town, and this B & B embodies what the city is all about. The hosts are simply the best - very hospitable and make some tasty breakfasts! They are well acquainted with the town and give great recommendations on activities and food. Any time we pass through Snowflake, we will stay here!

We were so impressed with this gorgeous historic inn and the friendly and attentive owners! I found it when searching for an unusual spot to stay that accepted dogs for our 25th anniversary. This search covered a broad swath of real estate and the Heritage Inn is the best one that showed up, so to Snowflake, Arizona we went. It surpassed my hopes and exceeded all expectations! We stayed in the Grainery (their honeymoon suite) and it was lovely! Huge room, beautiful antiques, very comfortable bed, lovely private two person deep jacuzzi tub. The breakfast was super!! The grounds and rest of the house were truly lovely. I asked to see other rooms and they were equally beautiful. Lots of special details like a huge selection of DVD movies, and much more. You will NOT be disappointed with this historic inn!!

Room Tip: They are all good, but only two allow dogs.

Thank you so much for the lovely review! We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Just a slight correction, we actually have 3 ground floor rooms that will accommodate pets, and 2 upstairs in the Carriage House, but we do have weight restrictions on the upstairs rooms.

Got to have the inn to ourselves for a quiet Sunday night. The room was very clean and beautifully appointed. The bed was a tall poster bed but had a convenient step for my vertically challenged wife. Snacks, water, tea and movies were available for guests.
Breakfast was delicious and prepared right on time. You have to try the "lemon babies" which are amazing.
Felt more like home than a hotel and we look forward to staying there again.
