“Lovely and Uncrowded Beach”

Grayton Beach State Park
Certificate of Excellence

Grayton Beach is managing to retain its "old Florida" charm despite the new builds. It is located along SR 30A with Grayton State Park next door. A paved bike path runs along 30A and connects the beach towns. We were there in the off season and I walked the beach in the cool mornings with not another person in sight for seemingly miles.

This is a beautiful park that enables you to get away from the masses on 30A. The bathhouse was immaculate and large. A wonderful place to walk on the beach and watch beautiful sunsets in the winter. Would highly recommend it during the low season. Not sure how it would be in the summer time. Gorgeous in January!

We visited Grayton Beach because a local person told us to go there. It was January, very few people, which we liked. It only cost $5 to drive in; and that was good for the whole day. The park had beautiful surrounding that was quiet and relaxing; nothing fancy. All of us enjoyed the relaxing tranquility of the beach. The little town of Santa Rosa Beach was a cute little town filled with quaint little shops and restaurants.

The scenery, food choices, shopping choices and atmosphere are super. Never a disappointment. Favorite restaurant is the funky Red Bar, but the choice of high end choices is endless. The best white beaches in the world. Summers are very busy, so you may want to plan around that.

We had a great time. Nice quite beach within a mile of two small beautiful towns. Christmas lights in near by town were so nice. We could see the New Years fireworks from our campsite!. Bike path to each town and beyond totally 10 miles. Campsite was very close to the beach. Great location to grocery stores and many activities. If you want the atmosphere of camping in the wild and still get all the amenities, this is a great place.
