We enjoyed this little Italian restaurant. The food tasted fresh, and prices appropriate. Thank you for a nice dinner. We will return.

My wife and I and our two young children ate at Sergio's while looking for a nice, but not too expensive, place to eat. We were delighted. Excellent food, excellent service, nice atmosphere. We almost went back but thought we should try other restaurants while on vacation. I would highly recommend Sergio's and will definitley return when in the area again.

This was our first trip to Sergio's. We liked the fact that Sergio is the chef and his momma does the decorating. We love a family commitment in restaurants. However, we were a bit disappointed in the pasta dish. It was pretty plain and tasted much like a canned sauce. It is a shame too since the bread, salad, soup and everything that came before the main course was delicious. We will return to his place to try other dishes and we are hopeful they will be excellent. This is a nice little local restaurant, family owned and operated and we will do our best to give them the benefit of dining there more than once, but, if the food does not prove worthwhile, we will cut it loose like so many of the restauarants in South Walton.

Fished out, we began looking for an Italian restaurant in the Destin, FL area. The reviews for Italian restaurants were scary! For the same restaurant, one review would rave about being transported to Italy for dinner while another would indicate you would be better off staying at home and cooking a frozen pizza! With a little more searching we found Sergio's Little Italy in Grayton Beach, just down the road from Destin. It seemed to have fairly consistent reviews with no touristy negatives associated with the restaurant. Rolling the dice we decided to make reservations and headed down the road. We found Sergios a bit out of the typical traffic pattern and in a small collection of stores. A relatively small restaurant with out all the touristy nets and fish hanging from the walls. A modest decor, making it feel more like a locally owned and operated restaurant at home. Walking in at 6:30, the place was nearly empty. Within 30 minutes it was full and easy to understand why after we had an appetizer of calimari. A very light batter, with a few tomatoes, seasoned onions and a small amount of olive oil. The calimari was light, flavorful, the best I have had in a very long time. We shared a calazone and meat lasagna for the main course. We had a little extra marinara sauce with the calazone. The sauce was great, fresh tomato taste, seasoned perfectly, not overbearing...very good. Both meals were excellent. Seeing some of the other entrees come out, we wished we had a few more nights in the area so we could try more of the menu. Sergios has obviously become a favorite of locals in the Grayton Beach area, they exchanged greetings with the chef adding the comment "great as usual". Sergio's will be our Italian go to anytime we are in the area.
