The hotel is clean, modern, and well kept. Unfortunately, the desk staff seemed to consist of bored college freshmen who thought it enough just to 'be there'. The smoking rooms are also the 'handicapped' rooms, and the advertised 'hot breakfast' was a toaster and a waffle iron, and they didn't make a fresh pot of coffee until the one in use was empty.
We thought we caught a break, getting rooms on the first floor, only to find I had a herd of something above me in constant stampede mode, stopping only to play 'let's see how high this will bounce if we throw it down hard enough'. Complaints phoned to the desk were ignored, until I had to get out of bed, get dressed, and tell the desk placeholder - er, clerk - that if she didn't take action, I would. That brought at least a few hours of relief.
Fortunately, the stampeding herd woke me at zero-dark-thirty, as when we checked out at seven, I still hadn't gotten my five-thirty wakeup call.
There are a lot of hotels in Show Low, if you want a good room, find one of them. If you must stay here, get a room on the top floor.
I was surprised by the lack of a bathtub. It truly excludes the hotel as a family friendly hotel. We also had trouble with our TV in two different rooms and our keys stopped working the last night. It wasn't so awful that we left the hotel but we would not stay there again.
