Stagecoach 66 Motel

This was a lovely little motel to stay at. We had the Marilyn Monroe room which was really cool.
It was clean, tidy and comfortable.
We spent the night in the on-site bar which turned out to be one of the best nights of our trip.
Great food, drinks and lovely local people.
Seligman is a place you have to see along route 66!

We where lucky to meet Annelise the very cool Norwegian owner of this motel. We had her good pizza before we got a tour to see her incredible rooms, unfurtanly we should stay for the night. But we really recomend everybody to sleep in the customized rooms.

Anne-Lise is a very fun character to meet and we get a lot of compliments on the pizza from guests from all over the world. I wish you could have stayed with us to get the full experience, but maybe you will come back and visit again and enjoy one of our cozy theme rooms.

We decided to stay there on our way to the Grand Canyon as we read some very good reviews about it. We arrived late at night (3 am) and checked into the Casa Blanca (20's - 30's theme) room. Though it was late and we were tired, we couldn't but start taking pictures of the room with nice little details and antique pieces the rooms was decorated with. It was a real look and feel of the past, but further very neat and clean. At the breakfast (good coffee/tea with danish) we met the couple who run the place - Rod and Sherry - to also apologize for waking them up at night. They are fantastic people, devoted to make your stay an unforgettable one. As we found it a pity that we could only enjoy our pretty room for a very short time, we decided to stay another night. After visiting the Canyon we had a good dinner at the restaurant next door (run by the motel owner, a Norwegian lady) and had a beer and a lovely chat with Rod and Sherry. We really enjoyed our stay, felt at home and would rank this hotel as the best on our 2-weeks' round trip. We would definitely come back!

Room Tip: There is a range of theme rooms in the hotel, but whether you get one depends on the availability...

This is not a four star hotel. Its a charming, quaint motel that was so much fun to stay at. The staff was incredibly helpful, the rooms were clean and cutely decorated. I think what we loved so much about this motel was that it really harkens to a different time. People sit outside in the courtyard and listen to the numerous different song birds that inhabit a large beautiful tree. The whole feel of the place is laid back and friendly. This motel was a stopping point for us along the highway and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Room Tip: ask about the different themed rooms. We stayed in the Disney Cars room. Good for little kids but...

This motel is not the modern type, but for us exactly the right thing. we never expected such a lovely place in the desert. :)
The theme rooms are very nice, clean, and a one of a kind thing, but also the normal rooms are nice too! If you want to get away from the pure tourism, this is the place to stay. Highly recommended. Many greetings from Germany.

The hotel is on the famous Rte. 66 highway. Check in was fast and pleasant. The hotel is family run. There is not a lot of anything in this area. So it was great for the traveler who is tired. We were worried about the train that went by after we got to our room, but with the window closed, we heard nothing. The room was average size, and clean, aged but clean. The bed was comfortable.
Nice quiet place to sleep with very friendly people.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms toward the road, less chance of hearing train noise.

Our group stayed in four different rooms on the way to hike the Grand Canyon. Loved the Elvis and the Harley room decor! Management was very friendly and had pastries and hot coffee for us in the morning. Not the Ritz but the beds were comfortable and the rooms were simple and clean.
