“adequate clean rooms at great rate”

Rooms here are pretty basic but are super sparkly clean and provide and great budget option. Friendly owners with. a coule of dogs and quiet rooms shielded from road noise by courtyard layout enhance the amenity

Was a very clean hotel with a friendly woman at the front desk. Most of the big chain hotels give you a card key and this hotel actually had a key to the room. Just like the old days. :-) You could hear the trains rumble through town, but was not a problem at all, as was a ways away from the motel.

I've stopped in Seligman several times in the past but this was my first time spend the night. I spent two nights at the Supai so got to experience the town at a leisurely pace. The motel was clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced in addition to being well located.

We got coughs in the govt shutdown the morning if our long-planned hiking trip to the bottom of the Grand Canyon - our duffles went down on the mules, but the trails were closed to us, so we had no choice but to wait for them to be brought back up. Thankfully our niece knew of another place for us to try, and we lucked into 2 nights camping in the canyon through an Indian reservation. On our way to havasupai falls, we need lodging, and picked this motel on a whim (the neon sign and sparkling white doors). It was better, way better than we had hoped, and the owner later said we brought him luck because several more rooms filled right after we arrived. It was very clean, with comfortable beds, and a perfect stop on the trip! No complaints and would definitely stay again...

Stayed here for one night driving along Route 66 and had a great stay. Ok the room isn't 4 star but neither was the price! We loved sitting outside watching the world go by and loved hearing the trains. Loved the neon which really brought the route to life. Really enjoyed Seligman and the really friendly people at the motel. Thank you.

Recently, my brother and I decided to embark on a tour of Route 66, starting at Amarillo, TX, and ending up in Needles, CA. Along the way, we looked forward to driving on the longest uninterrupted segment of Route 66 still in existence. This fabled stretch of highway starts in Seligman, AZ, and runs all the way to Kingman, AZ.

Arriving in Seligman at dusk, we drove along the town's main drag and looked for an authentic Route 66 motel. We chose the Supai Motel, as it still had some vacancies available, and its neon signage and architecture suggested that it was a true holdover from the Golden Age of the Mother Road.

The Supai Motel was affordable and adequate for an overnight stay. As a typical vintage motel, the Supai offered fairly small rooms, but I recall that it only cost $67 for a room with two beds. The furnishings seemed a little bit old, as the chairs and cabinet showed some signs of wear. However, I'd just stayed at the Blue Swallow Motel in Tucumcari, NM, two days earlier--and the delightful retro decor of the Blue Swallow could make ANY vintage motel's furnishings pale in comparison!

Overall, our room at thhe Supai was clean and comfortable, and I was satisfied with the quality of the bed and the shower. In the morning, there was free coffee available at the motel office.

The only (minor) downside to our stay was that the parking spaces in front of each room were fairly close together. This meant that one could hear conversations from other guests who had just pulled up and were unloading their vehicles. No-one was particularly obnoxious, though, and the conversations tended to be those of enthusiastic travellers on holiday!

The town of Seligman itself is small and friendly, and it has the kind of roadside attractions that one associates with Route 66. I recommend the Roadkill Cafe for its good food and friendly service. (We arrived shortly before the restaurant closed at 9 p.m., but the staff kept the kitchen open for us, so that we could have a late dinner.)

I also HIGHLY RECOMMEND a visit to Angel's Barbershop and Route 66 Gift Shop. The owner, Angel Delgadillo, has lived on Route 66 for 86 years, and he has been a leading figure in preserving this historic highway. If you want to see a living legend and a local smalltown hero, look no further than Angel's Barbershop in Seligman!

Room Tip: Accommodations in Seligman tend to fill up quickly, so book ahead and/or arrive early!

We stopped here on our way to the Grand Canyon and it was everything we needed--clean room, comfortable bed, working air conditioning, free coffee in the morning and a small but adorable town to look around before continuing on our way (it took us about an hour and half to drive to the park from there). We arrived around 11pm (we warned them beforehand) and woke up the guy at the front desk, who was a little bit grumpy at that point, but he was much more friendly in the morning. Just a simple place which nevertheless felt cleaner than a lot of similar motels and has very competitive prices. And it has an awesome neon sign!
