“Bell Rock views were gorgeous!!!”
Reviewed August 2, 2009

We spent a week in Phoenix in October, 08. We decided to go to Sedona for a day trip, it was about a 2 hour drive, but so worth the trip.

You literally drive around a hill and there are the most beautiful red mountains you have ever seen. They are awe inspiring, I couldnt wait to get out of the car. We stopped at the visitor center and got a $5 parking pass and settled on Bell Rock for a little hike. It was great. The kids made us very nervous, as they would run around and disappear, but there didn't seem to be any places that you could just fall straight off, which was a little comforting. If you have small children, Baby Bell is right beside it.

We went about 3/4 of the way up and decided to sit and just enjoy the landscape, it was so relaxing. There was a breeze and I felt like I could have sat there forever.

We drove on into town and did a little shopping for souvenirs. It is a small town with lots of little shops and restaurants. Their are also tons of psychics if you like visiting them. The area of Sedona is purported to have alot of psychic energy. The views are simply amazing. There are a few hotels and spas with gorgeous golf courses. It would be the perfect place for a couples trip.

Was definitely worth the trip.

“Fantastic place to see”
Reviewed July 23, 2009

We recently visited Sedona, AZ (May) and found it to be one of the most awesome places we have seen. The views were more than I imagined. The weather was great. While there we did Northern Lights Balloon flight and it was spectacular. There was something to do and explore every day. The sunsets were something everyone should take time to view. It is not far from Grand Canyon, so you are near many areas for day trips.

“SEDONA (red) ROCKS!!!!”
Reviewed July 12, 2009

Meandering north on I-17, the red rocks began to loom off in the distance as we approached the 179A exit. As we came into to town the "beautiful scenery" turned into "OMG this is incredible!" Our room at the Sedona Springs resort enhanced the appreciation of our surroundings. When visiting the Palatki ruins and seeing the red rocks, up so close and in your face that it was humbling, was a wonder of the world. Palatki can be reached by car over washboard-type fire roads. Any car can easily..and slowly...make it there. Restaurants abound to include the Barking Frog (3- 6:30 half priced happy hour for beverages and food which we called "dinner" on 3 of our 7 nights in Sedona), Ken's Creekside (serving the largest and tastiest french dip for lunch on the planet) and Red Planet Cafe (serving incredible huevos rancheros for breakfast, among other items). Jerome is a fun quaint town. A 40 minute trip from West Sedona which has 3 wine tasting rooms and a savory "The Asylum" (split "The Stack" for lunch). Check out the 3 wineries at the Page Springs exit off of 89A. North on 89A will take you through the beautiful and most photographed drive in the west. Just remember to relax, decompress and no that down the road 35 and 45 bmph turns into 65 mph. After all, it is the journey not the destination.

“a great modern western town”
Reviewed July 1, 2009

i travelled to sedona by rental car and the scenery is fantastic, the town is full of tourist shops and new age healing centres.
so a good mix of local art and nature beating what the locals can do .
judging by the amount of defibrillators on the side walk, the town is populated by older americans, but a safe and friendly place for a few days.

“Sedona- amazing views, but not as nice as we thought”
Reviewed June 9, 2009

We were in Sedona for almost a week, staying at a nice house. We had expected Sedona to have great shopping and plenty to do in town, but that was a little disappointing. Most of the stores were either extremely "touristy" or mystic healing power stores. We did find a few stores that we liked, such as a fudge shop that sold very good fudge. We also loved the public library. For a deposit of fifty dollars, you can get a temporary library card. Once you return all of your books and the card, you receive $45 back.
However, despite some of the disappointment over the shopping, Sedona has amazing views. The rock formations are stunning.
