Wildflower Inn at BellRock
Ranked #36 of 48 Hotels in Sedona
Reviewed October 10, 2012

We were at the Inn for two nights. the rooms were clean and comfortable. Bell rock was easily viewed from the Inn. It is a short-easy ride to Sedona( a matter of miles).Sedona is high priced and very busy with both cars and people. Staying a few miles away from the congestion was nice and a substantial savings. The continental breakfast was excellent-i do not normally comment about a continental set up-but this was excellent.-fresh fruit, bagels/cream cheese, pastry, a waffle maker.Youcould actually eat.

Room Tip: Most rooms have a view of Bell Rock.

I reserved this room for my family. I had asked for two queen beds over two months prior to their arrival. When I called ahead for an early check in because they were attending a wedding we were told that the room was not available and that they would have to put them in a different room with a King bed and a pull out couch. When I asked how does this happen when we had reserved two queens in advance? I was told with an unpleasant attitude "it HAPPENS because the persons stayed an additional night. So, I say, can they move to the room you were planning to give us? Why should we have to suffer because they decided to stay another night. I can't move them, he said. They have family...

We arrive and the room is dark and right next to reception which means you can not have the window open and the noise was terrible. The next day we moved them upstairs. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows stiff and cheap. When we checked out were told "we didn't charge you extra for the upstairs room." Oh REALLY? I think. My sister had such a terrible night from the awful room and cheap pillows her neck went into spams. You didn't charge? We should charge YOU. I advise people not to stay here. It's right on the road, the breakfast is bad, the rooms are shabby and the help is self righteous and disinterested in customer service. Save your money and go elsewhere. There are many hotels with better value and kinder staff.

The Wildflower Inn is located just a few miles south of Sedona putting it into a location and price range of very affordable. (Sedona is a much higher priced area). The rooms were clean, with most of the usual amenities, coffee maker, alarm clock, TV, free WiFi, soaps, conditioners, etc., but also offered a fireplace. Although this was not needed during September on our 2 night visit, it could certainly be used at cooler times of the year. The free breakfast consisted of juice, coffee, fresh fruits, bagels, and fresh waffles that you make yourself. Downtown Sedona is just a few minutes away on Highway 179. Finding downtown or uptown is easy as Hwy 179 utilizes several roundabouts so you move along quickly. The view of the surrounding area with the red rocks is gorgeous, especially during early morning and evening when the sun sets. The receptionists at the Wildflower Inn were always happy to assist when searching for locations and even provided maps to the area. I would certainly choose Wildflower Inn again.

We enjoyed our stay at Wildflower Inn. The receptionist in the early evening was friendly and helpful. She was patient with all my questions. The Wildflower is good value for the money. It's about a 10 minute drive south of Sedona. I think it's a great location b/c it's a little bit away from the hotels in Sedona. It was very peaceful at Wildflower and a beautiful view of Bell Rock. Breakfast was average and free which is always good. Breakfast included toast, waffles, juice, coffee and tea. There is free wi-fi throughout. It's definitely family oriented. The room was slightly small, but no complaints there. I just wish there was better lighting. The room did include a nice flat screen tv, microwave and refrigerator. We were in Sedona for one night but we would have definitely stayed there for another few nights if we had more time.

The rooms are nicely decorated and have great shampoos/conditioner, etc... The bed was fine, the breakfast adequate, the night staff was OK (not very friendly), but the views were great and it was a fairly priced room. I stayed one other night in Sedona earlier in my trip at the White House, and The Wildflower is significantly better for about the same price.

We stayed the Wildflower Inn in the Village of Oak Creek when we went to Sedona and loved it. It is about 5 miles from Old Town Sedona. Good views for the price. Rooms are a little small but clean and comfy with a friendly staff. The super observation deck made up for the room size. Breakfast was ok. Loved the soft bed and air conditioner worked fine. Can't wait to go back, Sedona is awesome and so is the Wildflower Inn. Oh, don't forget to watch the Sedona information channel on the great flat screen TV. It will help you not miss what there is to see like Tlapapaque (SP) which is a fabulous bunch of galleries, shops and resteraunts nestled in the trees by Oak Creek. Don't miss it!!

Room Tip: Upper rooms have fireplaces and best views, lower rooms have jacuzzi tubs.

First you have to realize that Sedona can be very touristy. This is a small comfortable, clean hotel. The price is right, breakfast in the morning is good enough to get you started. The desk staff and housekeeping were pleasant and helpful. The location is good, there are shops (if you like) and restaurants within walking distance. Good views and Bell Rock park is a short walk away - go there in the morning before it heats up. Hotel is easy to get to. All in all a great place to start your journey into Sedona.

Room Tip: Upper rooms have more privacy and better views.
