Wildflower Inn at BellRock
Ranked #27 of 48 Hotels in Sedona
Reviewed August 11, 2012

The hotel offers some of the best views in the Sedona area. It is small, two stories and has the basic amenities. It is an older property, but well maintained. The rooms were clean, fresh and comfortable. It is a good location in reference to walking to some restaurants and some shops. Breakfast is available in the lobby and you can carry it to the balcony which is a great place to enjoy the Red Rock and Bell Rock views. It is also a lovely place to sit out in the evening and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. This is not a top of line resort, but if you want a place to build memories, relax and have your basic needs met, give it a try. This is a convenient location when exploring the Sedona area. Recommend.

When we booked into the Wildflower Inn we were greeted by friendly staff checking in and checking out! The room was well sized and clean. It smelled fresh and everything worked. The beds were comfortable and the view from our window was spectacular.
We sat on the balcony overlooking the Red Rock and Bell Rock while we drank a nice bottle of while and ate some snacks and watched the sun set.
Breakfast was pleasant which consisted of Bagels, Waffles, fresh fruit, Tea & Coffee...
We were so pleased with our experience of this quaint, friendly, great location motel...
However as I booked this hotel through Hotels.com I was charged $85 + tax and when we got there the rooms were advertised on the sign as $79. Best to phone them and book direct than by Hotel.com which is Expedia and they take a cut... So that was the only disappointing thing.
One more thing... There is even a laundry to do your washing if you need too... I would definitely stay here again...

Room Tip: Good, Clean, Great Views, Great Price

First of all, the Wildflower is what it is. If you are looking for a resort with amenities and anything upscale then stop reading and start looking for places at least twice as expensive as Wildflower. If you want a great location for a place to sleep at a very reasonable price then you have found the right hotel. Wildflower could use new carpets, some paint and general upkeep. But the the place is reasonably clean, the beds are comfortable, there is free wifi, a minimal continental breakfast, flat screen tv, and a minifridge. It is located almost across the street from Bell Rock and the hiking trails that start there. No need to drive over to the trails. There is a good cafe (Blue Moon Cafe) right across the street and a Circle K across the street. There is no pool but there is a deck and a couple of tables on the 2nd level that you can sit at with food or a drink and enjoy the view. The front desk people were friendly and helpful. You will spend a lot more to stay at the La Quita or the Bell Inn that are a block away. All in all this is a great place for the budget minded traveler.

My friend and I wing it when we travel and never book hotels ahead of time. Yet another great score. A room with a view, indeed! It was very quiet and clean. It was across the street from a hike we wanted to take at Bell Rock. The staff were great.
Definitely recommend!

Im not sure what any negatives are about? I recently stayed at the Wildflower Inn for 3 nights and absolutely loved it! I usually shy away from motels, however, the price was excellent, the staff was very friendly, and our room was extremely clean. Coffee and continental breakfast every morning amidst a beautiful view of red rocks. I really loved the hotel's location...plenty of restaurants around us. We rented mountain bikes right across the street for half a day and the bike trailheads were right at our hotel, also. For nightlife? We drove an absolutely gorgeous drive (maybe 5 minutes) right up the road into the center of Sedona and had many wonderful dinners there and drinks. When I return to Sedona I will DEFINITELY stay here again! We found a true gem! Thank you, Wildflower Inn, for one of the best mini vacations of my life!

Please dont give up on staying at this lovely hotel, because of one not so good review.

It does seem to be better to phone the Inn to make a reservation, as we did.
And get a confirmation of your reservation.

We had to change our travel plans at the last moment, and had no problem cancelling our first nights stay. The man at the desk was very friendly and hospitable.

To get to The Wildflower Inn
turn L(eft) on Hwy 179 South in Sedona, and drive a few miles There are several roundabouts that you will encounter.

We arrived later in the day......just in time to see the beautiful sunset.
We chose a room on the main floor, as the rooms on the main floors have jacuzzi's;
It was a nice size room
Had a King size bed. Firm, but had a little middle dip..
There were 5 pillows, 3 lumpy foam ones, and 2 firm ones.
A small screen TV.
A bar fridge
An average size jacuzzi.......for 2 average size people.:) There was plenty of hot water to fill the jacuzzi.
TheToilet and tub are in one room....vanity outside, of the washroom.
There was no fan in the washroom......for those tooty after mexican meals.
And no plug in the bathhroom sink.......but that doesnt seem to be to unusal as most of the hotels that we stayed at on our vacation did not have them

The only piece of furniture that did not seem to "fit in" to the decor of the room was an old rocking arm chair. A little outdated, and right beside the jacuzzi tub. I covered it with my large beach towel....made it look a little better.

There is a continental free breakfast served in the morning in the main reception area which consists of :

Bagels, bread, make your own pancakes
fruit
Coffee , tea, juice,
cream cheese, jam, but no peanut butter.

You can either eat your breakfast at a table, just outside the reception area, or go up to the upper level, where you can enjoy the nice views.

There is a bike rental shop across the street, and a "Second Hand shop" close by.

We ate dinner at a nice Mexican Restaurant "Oaxaca " This old world style Mexican restaurant, located in Uptown Sedona, offers casual family dining with an extensive menu, Traditional and Modern Mexican flavors, with a taste for everyone! Great service, and fancy great tasting Margerita's.
The hotel does have a coupon.....or discount for the restaurant in the reception area for I think 10 per cent off.

Over all this was a nice , quiet , comfortable Inn to stay at. We may go there again.....when we return to Sedona.

Room Tip: Rooms on the main floor, have a jacuzi Rooms on the second floor have a fire place.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We appreciate your comments. Your comments are used to train our staff further.
For clarification, we do have make your own waffles (not pancakes), TVs are 32" flat panel Tvs (not small) and every room has an outlet at the vanity. I walked thru everyroom in the whole hotel myself after we got your review.
We do agree with the Jacuzzi size, it is intended for 1 regular size person or 2 small persons can probably fit.
We apprecaite your kind remarks about our staff. And, we apprecaite your business.
We invite you to come visit us again soon.
