“Wonderful stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2010

We were only there one night. Too bad. The hotel was wonderful. Very clean, friendly staff. Despite the hotel being full, our room was quiet. A little pricey for a Hampton Inn, but it seems everything in that town costs more than it should. We arrived early evening, got the kids changed into their jammies, and went down to the lobby for free hot chocolate - yes, in the middle of July. Also gotta love their breakfasts! Nice layout and the girl stayed on top of keeping the food supplied. Definitely coming back, though I don't know when.

Spent 2 nights here. Had a nice room upgrade as a Hilton Gold member. Had a small issue that required staff attention and they took care of it immediately to my satisfaction. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms appear to have been recently upgraded as they are quite nice. Rooms are comfortable, clean and decent size for the hotel type. Only a short ride to msos anything in Sedona. I'd have no problem going back here. My only complaint is that if you have a room that faces the setting sun in the summer, it takes a long time for the room to cool down, but it does eventually.

As mentioned before, the rooms are clean and roomy. Towels nice and thick. Did not use the pool. Breakfast was okay, normal for Hampton Inn. One downside, the A/C was noisy, had to turn it off just before going to sleep and room did get a little stuffy early in the am.

I always spend a lot of time researching hotels and I am happy we stayed at this three star hotel. The Hampton Inn chain has solid standards to maintain and this Hampton was very comfortable for our family of seven. We had two rooms and I was especially impressed with the fact they have fresh duvets (bedspreads) for every guest. I always remind my kids that hotels do not change bedpreads for every guest and I was very happy to notice (and read about) the fresh linens. Sedona is an expensive destination in Arizona and the Hampton inn has an average charge for a three star hotel. If you want a clean hotel with breakfast included you should consider this hotel. It is a only a few minutes from the main Sedona drag and it is close to many great spots. It is also only a few blocks to the grocery store which was helpful for quick snacks and drinks. My kids loved the pool and the staff was very helpful. We almost stayed in the village of Oak Creek but it is a 10 minute drive from the Sedona center. We also looked at staying in CottonWood but unless you just want a quick day trip to Sedona it would defeat the purpose since it is a different town and 15 minute drive. We loved the pink jeep tours and had a great mexican/southwest dinner at the Elote restaurant at The Kings Ransom Hotel. I would not hesitate to come back to this hotel or recommend it to a friend.

For the price and location, go 20 minutes to Cottonwood and stay in a better hotel. Rooms are old and out dated. Air-condition units are super old and really loud. The staff is polite and helpful. Even the breakfast was below average. Internet signal is extremely weak and unreliable. The signal at the small motel across the street had a better signal as it was coming through stronger in my room. If anyone gives this hotel more than a 2 out of 5 rating, they either work here or don't stay in hotels much.

The Hampton Inn in Sedona is a great place to stay! My family and I stayed for one night just to get away for a night. It was so nice to be there! Lots of restaurants around, the spa and pool is great! The breakfast in the morning was very impressive! The only little problem we had was that they ran out of pool towels at the pool that night and in the morning, but we asked for some and they were more then happy to give us some! We are already planning our next trip back!

average hotel. We removed the A/C filters when we arrived to find them filthy!!!
We washed them out in the shower.
