Lovely property! The front desk staff from check-in to check-out was outstanding and the room so comfortable!

Good value for the money in Sedona area. Nice location with good view, bed was soft, when I asked for top floor, I got it. They have a bathtub so it's nice to soak after a long day of hike. What I can't stand is the bad chemical smell in the room when we first entered. Luckily, the window can be opened, so we left it open all night. Toilet has a big stain at the bottom, I flushed a few times to discover it's a piece of broken ceramic.

I recently spent four nights at the Super 8 in Sedona as part of a Road Scholar program -- three consecutive nights, followed by one night away (at the Grand Canyon), and then one more night back at the Super 8 in a different room. There had been a choice of places to stay on this particular Road Scholar program, but by the time I registered, the more expensive option (a resort, the name of which I've forgotten) was gone because it was full. I am very happy it turned out that way: I didn't have to make the decision, and I loved being at this Super 8. This was not my first stay at a Super 8, but either Super 8 has moved up quite a few notches since I last stayed in one, or this one is exceptional. In addition to being squeaky clean and offering all the amenities one expects in more upscale lodgings, the bed was unusually comfortable. The wifi access was reliable and fairly peppy. (When it got slow, I discovered that I could easily change to a different one of about five or six Super 8 wifi networks.) The only thing negative I can think of to say in this review is that I've never seen a hotel room (or any other room) with such a paucity of electrical outlets. At first I was having to charge my phone in the bathroom because the ONE electrical outlet I'd found in the room was in use. I then discovered a power strip on a cord hidden under the bed. That helped greatly, though I still found the lack of outlets rather odd in a room that otherwise seemed up to date. Another plus for the Super 8 is its proximity to the Golden Goose Cafe, a restaurant with good food, good service, and friendly atmosphere (plus a friendly bar). I should also mention that the woman working at the desk in the Super 8 was very friendly, helpful, and efficient. As is no doubt obvious from what I've written so far, I recommend this Super 8 highly.

Reservations said we would have a Red Rock view. Imagine our surprise walking in a room with a window facing the pool utility room two yards away, with a tiny portion of rock view above it. The room was unbearably noisy from doors slamming in the hall, loud teenagers who came in buses for athletic events, and flushing toilets. Bed quality was poor. Bathroom sink area tiny. Pictures crooked on the wall. We had a horrible night's sleep. We've stayed in reasonably priced hotels all over Sedona and this is the worst. The go-to place for teams playing away from home. When I complained to the front desk at check-out, all I got was an "I'm sorry." No percentage of room price returned. I would never stay here again.

Room Tip: Stay upstairs away from the exit doors.

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel, we are terribly sorry to hear about your experience. I'm sorry to hear that the bed wasn't to your liking, we have new mattresses which have garnered many compliments. There was indeed a high school basketball tournament that weekend and we hosted 6 seperate high school teams. We did not receive one single complaint throughout the night. We would have loved the opportunity to address any situation had we been made aware of it. If you'd like to discuss your stay with us further, please contact us any time. Sincerely, Anthony Watkins - Asst. GM
