We spent two nights here in a double queen, pet-friendly room. The staff were wonderful and welcomed us and our two dogs with a doggy gift bag (including collapsible water bowl and treat container) at check-in. There are plenty of grassy dog walking areas around the resort, and bags are provided at the "official" dog walking area. The resort does lots of little things to make your stay more pleasant, like providing free bottled water in the rooms each day - a real benefit in hot and dry Arizona!

Recently stayed there memorial day weekend in a 2 queen bed room. Had a great time and the two dogs with us even got a gift at checkin! Very pet friendly resort but the rooms are so clean that you would never know it was a pet friendly hotel .

Only drawback was that it is a bit far from the main shopping/restaurant but that also kept the resort quiet and away from the sedona traffic downtown.

Room Tip: Ask for one along the golf course and away from the pool to keep it quieter!

Visited Sedona over Memorial Day weekend and found Poco Diablo a very pleasant place to stay. It is located between Oak Cree Village and Sedona on Hwy 179 so hiking, restaurants and shopping and nearby. The rooms are clean and roomy. The pool area is clean and well-stocked with towels.

We spent two fabulous nights here and will return again next time. The room was outstanding for the price and being by the golf course with beautiful mountain views really made our stay special. The people that work there are so helpful - we needed a hiking trail recommendation. The Concierge not only mapped out the hike, he called a contact to make sure the bridge was in working condition and passable. The martinis were pretty darn good too - after a long day hiking and then shopping, they hit the spot! The Sleep Number bed was just so-so and I understand they are being replaced next month with 'normal' good-quality mattresses. All in all, an excellent stay.

Room Tip: If you can be on the golf course, Premium room.... do it!

This is a well-run (if a tad run-down) resort. However, if you're looking for a family-friendly, mellow vibe, stay here! And we can't say enough good things about the top-notch cust. servc. Scenario: surprised hubby w/last min. long Memorial Day wknd getaway. Had plane tiks, dinner resvtns, then couldn't find lodging. Poco Diablo was the ONLY place where they took my info in case someone canceled -- luckily, someone did! This was just the beginning; every step of the way, all the staff was very helpful and rushed to help/accommodate us in every way possible.

Great rates for Sedona, w/all the amenities: 9-hole golf course (beautifully maintained), tennis courts, pro shop, massages, room service, sleep-number beds, pool & hot tub (lg. beach towels!) free WiFi, pet-friendly, restrnt & bar. We had deluxe room by the pool (fridge, hair drier, sm. coffee pot), nice view of surr. area and very relaxing. We both had a massage -- THANK YOU Kirsten & John! Restnt. a bit pricey, but o.k. (should say we only had Mem. Day b-b-q dinner there) When saying it's a tad run-down, I don't mean this in a bad way; it's just you don't hafta watch every step kids make or try to constantly keep 'em quiet b/c this such a "too-too" resort. (not that any kiddos misbehaved, but kids will be kids) PD is just far enough from the middle of town to be quiet, but close enough 5 min. will put you in the middle of whatever you're looking for. Also didn't know until arrival this resort is owned by Native American tribe, but very fitting considering where it's at.

In short, we were made to feel very welcome, and not so much b/c they only wanted our money, but b/c they truly valued us as people looking for a real vacation. So much so in fact, we're REALLY thinking about relocating the proposed family reunion late this summer to here -- can't give a higher recommendation than that!

Everyone from housekeeping and food service staff to concerige to hotel manager were attentive to our every need/desire. The concierge even came outside to take our picture and let us know of upcoming events. Our room looked like it had just been refurbished and was very well-appointed. Comfy bed, superior linens and pillows, fast wi-fi in room. Ate in restaurant on-site 3 times and each meal was excellent. Dining inside or outside was pleasurable with pitch - n - putt golf course and beautiful scenery, pond, lots of flowers and excellent view of red rocks to look at. Peaceful setting yet a very short car ride into town. Great deal on this lovely resort in comparison to many other hotels with extremely high prices. Can't wait to come back.

Room Tip: We liked our room on the 2nd floor, nice view and quiet - no one above us

Stayed one night. Credit card charged 3 TIMES for one night. Called hotel. "Not our fault . . . take it up with your bank . . . we didn't do it . . . blah, blah, blah."

Asked to speak to the accounting/bookeeping department. Got voice mail. Asked to speak to the hotel manager . . . . got voice mail of the "food and beverage manager."

Not staying here again. Moreover, we are getting married in Sedona in the fall. Considered Poco Diablo. Ya, not so much.
