Fantastic Stay! It's a little more expensive than other places, but the location is so fantastic it's worth every dollar. The resort sits right at the mouth of the canyon and the nearness of the red rocks is breathtaking. Reportedly sits on a vortex. Spring for the junior suite - fireplace is so soothing on chilly evenings. The spa is a must. If you have good weather - check out the sunset against the red rock skyline with a view from the patio bar upstairs. It's beautiful. Service was top notch but not intrusive. Will absolutely go back!

Our family of four (2 kids, ages 12 and 9) had a great two day/night stay at Enchantment. Right from arrival, you know this is a very nice place. You stop at the gatehouse and they direct you to the main building. Upon pulling in, two nice staff people are waiting to take your luggage and get you checked-in. As a bonus, our room was ready at Noon. A nice ride in a stretch golf cart to the room follows. We had a regular two-queen Casita room, which was very large and comfortable. A private large deck with an incredible view of the Canyon and red rocks. No need based on our experience to upgrade to a larger room. We were a short walk from the main building and pool. On each walk to the pool or main building, we saw a few deer in the shade next to the path. The pool is spectacular - large, very clean - and with incredible views of the red rocks. We were there during Spring Break week, yet the pool was never too crowded. We played on the 6-hole chip and putt course - certainly not the PGA, but a good activity and each evening several deer would be nearby watching. Also, very nice tennis courts, with rackets available. And no extra charge to play tennis or chip and putt. We did a few of the hikes that you can enter right from the grounds - beautiful views, fairly easy terrain. Plenty of other activities available, like organized star-gazing, etc. We arranged for the Pink Jeep tour with the concierge - Pink Jeep bus picked us up at the hotel and dropped us off at the end. Very fun - we did the Broken Arrow tour - took about 3 hours round trip from pick-up to drop-off back at Enchantment, so it does not take up the whole day. Very friendly staff throughout -- it seemed there were always people available to drive you in a golf cart if desired. Only slight issue as others have noted was with the restaurant service. The staff people were all nice - but service was slow and unattentive. At dinner both nights after placing initial drink orders we waited about half an hour before even seeing our server again. It appeared to be a common theme because most diners were in the same boat - A manager was trying to keep things moving on the second night, with limited success. Once the good arrived, it was quite good. Overall, a terrific resort for a family visit in an almost unbelievably beautiful setting.

Room Tip: For our family of 4, the regular two-queen Casita room was plenty. Very large room, large bathroom...

This is a beautiful place, with excellent staff, and a totally enchanting experience.

It is pricey, but you don't mind pricey when you get everything you pay for and then some. The room is spacious and perfect. The orange juice and newspaper in the morning adds to the gorgeous sunrise in one of the most beautiful locations in the world. Tennis, pool, hiking are pretty much right out your front door. The spa is what all spas aspire to be - just walking in the front doors you start to unwind.

The restaurant food is chef driven and is exceptional. With the total restaurant experience and staff in the exceptional category. View, staff, food quality, drink quality, atmosphere, could not be better. I love the check in - you are greeted at your car - check in at a roadside kiosk in seconds - and follow a cart to your casita.

You can't go wrong here - highly recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a patio facing the cliffs. Some patios are fantastic others so-so. At check in...

The location of this hotel is unbelievable, so beautiful. Prices to stay here are very high, and to me this is because of the location, don't stay here for luxury rooms. Rooms are spacious but beds are really uncomfortable. We were only given 2 pillows to start with but more were delivered when requested. Would be nice of patio chairs and floor were cleaned and swept before arrival. Kitchen light doesn't really work and fridge wasn't able to cool our drinks except for the small freezer drawer. Service was wonderful. Quick and friendly. We at at the casual restaurant and the food was super yummy and priced fairly. We used the miami pool as the other pool was too busy with children. Had a massage at the spa, very average for the price. Facial was unbelievable. Really enjoyed that. Love the little touches around the resort like the suntan lotion available free by the pool and free water in your room each night. Great proximity to many wonderful hikes. Really enjoyed our stay. Would of stayed longer if it was a bit cheaper per night. Great for couples. We were in casita 113.

Our family, from grandparents to eight year old, had a wonderful week. We hope to return next spring. There were activities for all ages and the staff was friendly and helpful. The camp for children is very well run.

My family (wife, 3 daughters ages 15, 14 and 10) and I just returned from a week at the Enchantment Resort and loved the experience. The rooms and grounds were immaculately maintained, and everything felt new and up-to-date (our bellman mentioned recent renovations). Everyone we encountered was exceptionally friendly and helpful...special shout-out to Kim in the activities center for helping us find fun hikes and bike rides. And on the warmer, sunnier days, we loved hanging out at the pool. You couldn't ask for nicer surroundings.

The biggest highlight of Enchantment is the setting — it's tucked away in Boynton Canyon, with incredible views of the surrounding hills and red rock cliffs. And it's near a lot of beautiful hiking and biking trails.

Of course, that setting also means it's somewhat out of the way...takes about 20 minutes to get into town, and forget about using your cell phone (although the free wifi worked pretty well).

My only criticism is that the breakfast staff, for the first half of our trip, seemed completely overwhelmed — took awhile to get seated, and service was very slow (but always warm and friendly). Many people were complaining. Something must have changed mid-week, because it improved dramatically.

All in all, a wonderful trip, and we'd certainly return to Enchantment if and when we return to Sedona.

Room Tip: The rooms are pretty spread out, and some require a decent hike uphill. If that's an issue, ask...

I continue to say Enchantment is enchanting. Set away from Sedona in Boynton canyon each casita has an amazing vista. The rooms are well appointed (and appreciate two sinks in a bathroom). The hiking in the area is strenuous and spectacular. You can participate in scheduled on property activities or work with concierge desk to design your own (we did an off road tour). Breakfasts are hearty (pancakes and granola parfaits quite yummy). My disappointment with this trip was the beyond SLOW service for dinner. When anyone serves a table that includes children, you need to get the food out faster. Our appetizers took more than 45 minutes (we're talking salad) and our entrees even longer. This won't keep me from recommending this hotel property (heck this was my third visit it three years).

Room Tip: Request a room higher up on the hill for the best view.
