Stunning location, rooms and service. The fine dining was v expensive and to try hard. (Superb setting though)
it also seems the spa is trying to compete with religion or psychology with the treatments they offer. Again to much mumbo jumbo
The hotel sits in a stunning canyon. ..don't try and compete wity that with food and spa. ...just keep it simple

Yes, the rocks are spectacular, and the setting is unsurpassed. And that's the highlight. The rooms are well-appointed and comfortable, with nice views -- as you would expect when you are paying a small fortune per night. However, at these prices you expect suberb service and it's not there. A swarm of people greet you at reception looking like a cross between secret service agents and Disneyworld camp counselors, most anxious to accomodate your every whim -- until you actually have one. Our room was not ready by mid-afternoon, and the previous occupants' room service dishes sat outside the door for a full day and a half after our arrivial as we marveled at the housekeeping golf carts racing by oblivious to this obvious need for clean-up.

Waiters were routinely stymied by the most simple requests: Could I have another cup of coffee? (I have to ask three times). Do you have any hot sauce? (Yes, of course! The guy never returns). Why is there a huge empty platter of fruit with 5 grapes on it at the breakfast buffet, when I have asked for fruit for the past 45 minutes?

The "Bed&Breakfast" package comes with a precise $29 coupon for breakfast, and if you order a cappucino and the price goes over $29, you'll be paying for that capucino in full. I always give servers the benefit of every doubt; but I found the approach at Enchantment to be routinely superficial -- big charm offensive; zero follow-up. That said, the rocks are spectacular and the location -- if you like being quiet and away from town -- is stunning.

A beautiful resort surrounded by the Red Rocks of Sedona. You can hardly believe your eyes..as the view is just beautiful from every angle, early in the morning at breakfast, inside or out, lunch or watching the sun set at dinner. The casitas are so interesting. I asked for one near the main building as I was not up to walking uphill a great deal. Its was cozy and nicely decorated. The housekeeping was wonderful and the turn down service each night was thoughtful and special including the wonderful Indian flute music on the tv. Loved the little bucket of juice and morning paper at your door each morning. The staff will remember your name and you truly will feel very special staying there. Be sure to eat at the restaurants. Dinner at the finer dining room is way more than amazing..you can select your wine from an Ipad which will tell you about the origins of each wine and a wonderful description of taste ect...very neat. Also be sure to have a late night drink or lite snack at the outside venue , view 180...cozy up on a comfortable chair or couch and enjoy the stars ...very nice. This is a top resort, pricey a bit...but special enough that you wont mind..especially for the memories you will take back.

Room Tip: If you are not into walking paths with bit of a climb, ask for a room near the main building.

While Sedona is not the easiest place to get to, it is worth the trip, especially if you stay here. Our casita studio was immaculate, spacious, and equipped with a two burner range, microwave, small refrigerator, table and flat ware and an outdoor gas grill. The views are worthy of a national park. They provide flashlights so you can walk after dark because the grounds are not lit so you can see the stars. Every effort has been made to blend the resort into canyons. There are laundry facilities if you need them. The main pool has an attentive staff and comfortable cabanas. There is a second pool for adults only. The only drawback were the three high eastward facing windows without blinds, that acted as wake-call at 5:30.

My husband and I stayed at the Enchantment Resort in June 2013. The grounds are beautiful and expansive. We stayed in a studio casita - plenty of room for the two off us. We had a small kitchen, huge bathroom and nice deck overlooking Kachina Rock (rm 119). Only thing not spectacular was that the bed was a pull down. It was comfy enough but you had to put pillows behind your head to block the space. But overall, the room was spectacular. Food was very southwestern and delicious. However, we mostly ate in town as there are many terrific restaurants. It's about a 15 minute drive into town but so worth it - the views are just breathtaking! We hiked the Boynton Canyon trail and the Vista trail (beautiful views right up to Kachina woman formation!) right outside the grounds and took a guided hike provided by the resort. All were amazing. It was our anniversary and the resort provided us with a complimentary bottle of champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries - very nice touch! I would definitely go back!

Room Tip: Room 119 has a great view of the canyon at Kachina Rock, no parking lot in the way to ruin the ambia...

We visited Sedona a number of years back when they were breaking ground for this resort. It took about 7 years for us to get here, but the wait was worth it. We stayed in a Hacienda, which was large enough to house a small army. Service and staff across the board was exceptional. We had room service breakfast every morning and had it served on our balcony. It was delivered promptly and was delicious as were all the restaurants. The views, amenities and proximity to Sedona make this a return trip must. Just hopefully, not another 7 years! BTW, Mii amo spa was super. A separate review.

Room Tip: Get rooms close to the lobby.
