“Nice stay but service lets it down”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

I stayed here with my wife in October 2012. I'd sum it up as a 4 star stay with 2/1 star service. The room itself was a good size, clean and comfortable. They provide breakfast which is nothing spectatcular but it was fine, coffee, cereal etc. A good tip is call ahead to comfirm your booking then you can request a room with views. We didn't know this and ended up with a view of the ice machine but it wasn't a big deal, the hotel has swing benches to sit at to take in the views.

The service does let the place down though. When we checked in the woman who was talking to us said, "you guys don't have a car - that's a problem!" My wife said we were happy to walk places and she looked at us like we were insane. Surely it's up to us to decide how we want to navigate the town. To get to uptown Sedona is roughly an hours walk which isn't too bad, I think. We had a similar issue when asking at the front desk about the local sightseeing trolley. Woman refused to answer our questions, just said "the leaflets are behind you so read them!"

All in all we were treated as an inconvenience, I've read similar comments on here about service Days Inn Sedona before and I agree completely. All in all though, if you can get past poor service you should have a reasonably good stay.

We drove up to the hotel late at night from Phoenix. We were pleasantly surprised when we found that we were upgraded to a junior suite without any additional fees/costs. The room was clean and so was the linen. The breakfast next day consisted of the bare essentials but it was ample and we were happy. There are other more expensive options in Sedona if you are looking for a luxurious vacation, but if you are looking for a basic hotel room, I recommend this place. The location is also very convenient to a number of attractions.

We spent 3 weeks at the Days Inn in Sedona recently and were pleased with our choice every one of those days. You could spend more money for lodging but why would you? The front desk folks treated us great, were personable and helpful. The gals who cleaned were sweet hearts. With the 3 wk stay they gave us one of the nicest rooms available with a great view from the balcony. Will gladly recommend you guys to anyone we know going to Sedona, as top notch. On 2 nites we had noisy neighbors, but this in no way was a hotel staff problem, just simply rude travelers.
