I'm always skeptical about on line reviews from persons I do not know, but in this case they are telling the truth. If you are in Sedona, this is the place to stay. Out of town, but close by, great views, excellent service and food. Better than living at home. The only caution is about Sedona, not the Cozy Cactus specifically. If you go outside (duh?) take advantage of the free bug off Cozy provides. Sedona has "no-seeum' biting bugs (Ceratopogonidae) that want your blood.

First we would like to thank our guest for the very kind words regarding the Cozy Cactus, we're so pleased that they enjoyed their time with us, and we look forward to their next stay.

Regarding the complimentary bug repellent, happy to provide it. Most of the year Sedona is pretty much flying/biting bug free, which is a wonderful thing! However, there is an approximate two week window in the late Spring (which changes year to year) where uninvited flying guests arrive to the area. Thus, we recommend that if you are outdoors around dusk that you apply some repellent.

Relaxing, comfortable, clean, quiet...breathtaking views of Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte, exceptionally creative breakfasts excellently prepared and served...Cozy Cactus is a MUST. Carrie and Mark put their heart and soul into making certain their guests are pampered. Easy trails out the back gate lead, within minutes, to the red rocks, while quail and rabbits share breakfast on the patio, each morning. The rooms are large and the mattresses and towels top of the line. Flate screen TV, free Internet, coffee...Very close access to everything. Don't have a cooler? Just ask. Backpack...golf clubs...Carrie and Mark will do anything to please. The best inkeepers we have ever met. And those muffins...Mark the Muffin Man! Cowboy and O'Keefe suites have the best views and step out to the patio. Why this place isn't number one is beyond us. We will go back to Sedona just to stay here.

We love it when our guests feel strongly enough about their stay to write a wonderful review and we always love to have them back again and again!

With a new look about the place, we hope there are more reasons to stop and stay. Of course Mark and Carrie are still doing "their thing" to make your stay memorable and the muffins are still memorable!

Hope to see you soon,

Your friends at the Cozy Cactus

We stayed with Carrie and Mark back in February, when I was about 22 weeks pregnant. From the very beginning, they were both very accommodating (being sure to have decaf coffee for me), and made suggestions about things to do and see in Sedona that greatly improved our experience. For example we loved the recommended Mexican restaurant 'Elote' so much we went back twice (out of our 4 night stay); I especially loved the virgin bloody orange drink they had, and the enchiladas. My husband and I both love big breakfasts, and the breakfasts Carrie and Mark provide are SPECTACULAR. They also helped give us good advice on which hiking trails to take, based on the weather and crowds (i.e. hiking during the week vs on the weekend). FInally, they gave us a good recommendation of a place to stop on the way back to the Phoenix airport for sandwiches for our plane ride back to Chicago (Paradise, off one of the exits close to the airport). We chose this B&B based on trip advisor reviews, and would return every year if we could (though they don't take kids).

One caveat: if you can afford to splurge, choose a room in the back with Red Rock views; we chose the room directly next to the front door, and it was on the small side with no views. The room itself was very clean and comfortable, but it would've been nice to have more space and a better view.

Thank you for your past, kind comments. We do tend to keep the Cozy Cactus as a place to relax and escape "real" life... There is a bit of a new look with some new room choices, but Mark and Carrie are still trying their best to make everyones experience the best possible.

Hope everything is wonderful with you,

Your friends at the Cozy Cactus

The Cozy Cactus is a wonderful B&B that provides more than most. We had a bedroom, bathroom, living area and dining area. The view of Sedona's red rocks out the back door is phenomenal. The breakfasts were delightful. Carrie & Mark provide EVERYTHING you need from park passes, walking sticks, hiking guides, and restaurant suggestions to shampoo, iron, wine opener!!! You name it,; they have it. We have met wonderful guests while there both stays. I usually like to try new places, but this is one place that I will continue to visit over and over!!!!

Hi Bob and Linda,
We decided even though some of these comments go a back awhile, they deserve a reply...
It is wonderful to go back and read through them! With some of the changes to the property we just wanted to make sure everyone knows that Mark and Carrie are still providing a great place to stay with lots of fun guests (including you).

Take care and hope to see you soon,

Your friends at the Cozy Cactus

The Cozy Cactus was more than we anticapated. With Coconino National Forest in their backyard how could it be more beautiful! Mark and Carrie were extremely hospitable in their lovely home/B&B introducing their sweet dog Margi to their guests. In the morning we were treated to a wonderful, fresh and healthy breakfast on the back patio. They were so warm and friendly I can't wait to go back.

Come on back! There have been a few changes at the Cozy Cactus. The look of the property has changed with new colors, patios and rooms, but the western hospitality is still what you remember. The views are still great and so are the breakfasts.

Thank you so much for you past comments. We really appreciate our great guests.
