I recently visited Sedona for the first time and selected the Cozy Cactus for my accommodations. I am SO glad I did. It was wonderful! The hosts, Mark and Carrie, were gracious, lovely, helpful, knowledgeable, warm, funny and all around AMAZING! Not to mention incredible cooks in the kitchen (the breakfasts were the BEST). The accommodations, location, scenery....everything was awesome and when I return to Sedona (because I loved it and am definitely returning soon), the Cozy Cactus is my accommodation destination! You won't be disappointed! Laura, Philadelphia, PA

What an amazing place to start a vacation! Mark and Carrie welcomed us and made us feel right at home. We stayed in the Rendezvous Room which was just perfect for us. The most comfortable bed we ever slept in! Starting the morning with Mark and Carrie (and Lori) fixing breakfast and meeting the other guests was more enjoyable than we imagined - we shared our plans and tips for the day which was very helpful. The Cozy Cactus Concoction goes great with every breakfast they serve! This place is very convenient to many tourist and hiking spots, but tucked away just enough to feel the quiet and tranquility of the area. You can walk to a corner store, grab a bottle of wine or a bite to eat and come back to sit on the patio and take in all the stars. Mark and Carrie are very knowledgeable with the overall Sedona and Phoenix area and places to visit - so check with them first for reservations and discounts - the Red Rock pass, etc. If you share with Mark & Carrie your plans they can give you tips about timing and other activities that are happening. They also have coolers, hiking sticks and ponchos on site that you can borrow depending on what your needs are. We will definitely return and will bring some friends with us! It's too bad we had to leave!

Room Tip: You can choose a room that is specific to your needs - we toured each of the rooms and they were all...

Cozy Cactus met all expectations after researching Tripadvisor and the whole of the internet for the best place to stay in Sedona. We had the Cowboy Suite shared with parents and my friend had the Desert Rendezvous room. Everyone was delighted. The Cowboy Suite was super comfy, the kitchenette perfectly kitted out with big fridge, dishware, glasses. You also had the option of borrowing things from the "main" kitchen. Our first night in we were tired from travelling so had a wonderful Chinese takeaway from across the road.
The location is great with walks right out the backdoor, fantastic back terrace. Communal breakfast on the terrace was great. We only stayed two nights and wished we had more time to enjoy more of those backyard walks.
If I had to think of downsides it would be that the breakfasts were so enormous, we couldn't do them justice and felt guilty. Also, one point of detail which might be important to some people is that Cozy Cactus is not in Sedona town proper. It is about a 15 minute drive out, so keep that in mind for shopping/restaurants within walking distance are not many. However, if and when I get back to Sedona, I will be staying here!

Mucho thanks Mesaana. Loved having you here as we do all the other Brits...appreciate the comment about our breakfast, we are trying to make them less huge, but are failing miserably. Hope to see you again soon, longer next time.

Cozy trails...until we meet again...

What an amazing B & B! My husband and I stayed in the Vortex Vista for 4 days during the month of May. This suite is just beautiful with wonderful views of Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte. The king size bed was so comfortable and was outfitted with such nice linens. The bathroom was also fantastic with a huge shower and plush towels.

Mark and Carrie (and Lori!) provide absolutely delicious breakfasts! Mark is indeed the Muffin Czar. The banana chocolate chip were my favorite! Every three course breakfast gave us plenty of fuel for our 3 and 4 hr hikes each day. We also enjoyed meeting other guests and hearing about their plans and activities. The quail and their babies put in an appearance each morning, much to the delight of everyone. The patio was such a lovely spot to enjoy breakfast and watch the resident wildlife.

We were so sad to leave this peaceful and wonderful place. But, we plan to return again and again!!!

Room Tip: The Vortex Vista is wonderful with your own private balcony!

Hey Tommy and Beth,

I know it is late...but thanks for your comments. We loved getting to know you and can't wait for your return...the quails are almost full grown now and have been asking about you...ROLL TIDE!

(Even though, if I remember correctly, you were from the mid-west).

We were traveling with another couple and we shared a two bedroom suite, which was perfect. The view is breathtaking, the location is within walking distance to good restaurants, and there are great hiking trails within a mile of the inn. Carrie and Mark are wonderful hosts, and they make the most amazing breakfasts. This was our second visit to Sedona - we much prefer this location away from the busy center of Sedona. Thanks so much, Carrie and Mark. We'll be back and stay longer next time!

Room Tip: We stayed in a two-bedroom suite with another couple. Perfect if traveling with friends.

The Cozy Cactus is in a beautiful setting, situated away from the hustle and bustle of the town of Sedona in the village of Oak Creek. Breathtaking views of both Bell and Cathedral Rock greet you for your morning coffee to an orchestra of birds. Close to hiking, mountain biking, golf, and strolling, this precious gem is perfect for being active, or just "being." Mark and Carrie (and Lori, of course) have created a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere to enjoy the nicest of vacations. But don't tell anyone, or it will book up too quickly for the next trip!...

Room Tip: We stayed in the Bloomin' Cactus the first night, and the Sedona Sky the second. Both very nice...
