We enjoyed our short stay with Mark and Carrie and will recommend The Cozy Cactus to our friends. We found the B&B very relaxing, meeting all our needs. We loved the fact you can hike straight from the property, no need to take the car. Definitely a thumbs up.

Stayed 4 nites in cowboy suite mid October 2012,marvelous weather- great view of Bell Rock from bedroom and back door-a patio that's a birder's delight- wonderful big breakfasts(orange zested scones,Mark is the Muffin Czar and Carrie does the main courses- happy ambiance-great exchanges of area info and talk with other guests-really starry skies at night- and Mark and Carrie are like friends, truly helpful. Plan to return in the spring- it should be a different kind of lovely then.

Room Tip: Cowboy suite is at west end of property, with huge pine tree and is more private.

The rennovations are complete and we were honored and privileged to be the first guests in the newly built Vortex Vista room. First of all, you cannot beat the view of Bell Rock and the Coconino Forest. Outstanding. Then...you get to see it all from this large private balcony. The room is superb, as well. Spa-like tile shower, large refrigerator/freezer and microwave, leather sofa and very comfortable bed with the softest sheets and comforter...everything exceptionally clean...At night you can sit on the balcony and gaze at a million stars. VERY ROMANTIC AND PRIVATE! This room will be the talk of Sedona...In the morning, you are greeted by fresh coffee or a wide selection of teas. Mark and Carrie are the supreme hosts. Mark is famous for his made fresh daily homemade muffins. We love the lemon poppy seed. Carrie's main courses are fantastic...from banana pancakes with coconut syrup, fresh melon and berries with a raspberry cinnamon sorbet...to a chili relleno casserole with rosemary potatoes to three different kinds of quiche...All the guests eat together and you meet the most interesting people from all over the world. Mark and Carrie can also help arrange any type of Sedona experience you can think of. Golf, sight-seeing, Vortex tours, balloon rides, shopping...and especially fine dining. They know Sedona and they also know how to make you feel like family. The new and updated Cozy Cactus is their commitment to making their guests number one and they have put all their energy into doing so. If you have been here before, you will be thrilled with what they have done. If you are new to the Cozy Cactus, you will be amazed with what Mark and Carrie have to offer. Guests come back again and again because the Cozy Cactus is the best place to stay in Sedona...period!

Room Tip: The Vortex Vista or either of the two suites.

This place for sure was all about warmth, intimancy and ease. Mark and Carrie rock! From the start, stayed up late to welcome me in (late flight) and made my stay perfect. The Cowboy Hideaway was just amazing, and they thought of every little thing in there, especially enjoyed the Big Book of Info, that one had me smiling ear to ear! Felt like going home after being away for a while. Spotless, comfortable and so very cozy! Then came the breakfasts, mmmmmm. For the early birds, like me, you can sip on coffee in the kitchen and take in all those awesome smells of fine cuisine! Then there's the view, wow, could not have been any better. And step outside the back door and you're hiking! And the sleep, such good good sleep! Thanks for everyting and can't wait to see you again sometime down the road!

This is a WAY-WAY-WAY PAST DUE BIG THANK YOU for taking the time to share your “cozy experience” with potential future “Cozies”. We are having an amazing year, and as it is just the two of us, it seems that there are just not enough hours in the day to do everything we want…like write personal responses. However, we wanted to say thank you and we know that you know that even if this is a “generic” thank you, we know that you know it comes from the heart and we can’t wait for your return. Hugs, Hugs, and yes Tequila toe kisses. Carrie, Mark and woof – Tequila our rescue Goddess!

I'll spare you the story of how I found then booked the Cozy Cactus for our getaway to Sedona but it was definitely one of those meant-to-be sort of things. We had high expectations, thanks to the Trip Advisor reviews, & those expectations were exceeded. We stayed in the Cowboy suite: 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, living room & kitchen. & every accommodation you could conjure up but wouldn't think to conjure up so they think of it all for you. It was like an accommodation treasure hunt, coming across something that would make us look at eachother in amazement. Y'know what else was amazing? How immaculate our suite was. & how I slept more comfortably than I can ever recall (I actually felt guilty). But the kicker is the "backyard". Breathtaking. We had the good fortune of gorgeous weather so b'fast was alfresco. & deeelicious. Seriously, we would've been content with them just slapping a Belgian waffle & coffee in our laps. This is when their passion really shines: a 3-course, equal parts comfort food & gourmet b'fast that covers all the bases & tingles all the taste buds! Mark & Carrie really have something special that can't be conveyed in a review or pictures. This was my 2nd time to Sedona & my friend's 1st- everything we did & everywhere we ate for lunches & dinners were perfect but, driving home & talking about our most favorite part, we both agreed the Cozy Cactus made the trip.

Nothing could have been a more perfect pick for our family than the Cozy Cactus! My parents had a delightful time and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breakfasts were outstanding. The rooms were clean and the beds were excellent. The fact that the Cozy Cactus has only five rooms is a hugh plus for this B&B. Being able to relax and connect with other guests was a plus.Superb!

My husband and I truly enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Cozy Cactus in late September. We like staying at B&Bs when we travel but I think this was the first one I can remember where we hugged our hosts goodbye when we left. We loved getting to know them and also appreciated their wealth of knowledge on where to go, how to go, what to do, etc. We loved their breakfasts - and the fact that breakfast is served at 8 AM daily gets you up and moving for the day! We loved the location - outside of the touristy part of town but yet within walking distance of restaurants. Another plus was the fabulous hiking options right in their backyard. We enjoyed hanging out on their back patio before dinner with a bottle of wine a couple nights. The list goes on and on. Nothing but good things to report. It was our first trip to Sedona but it won't be our last. Thanks again for a lovely stay!
