I found the Cozy Cactus online last fall and was looking for a place to get Married. We are Canadian and flew to Vegas for the cheap flights and car rentals etc. Drove to Santa Fe N.M. to get the Wedding Rings[another story]. I talked to Carrie online and she said drop by. When Patsy saw the patio with Bell Rock right there, she said, I want to get Married here. We booked all the rooms for 3 days and had an 1880 Style Wedding on their patio. This was the best decision I have EVER made. Outdoors, Quail, Rabbits, Doves, perfect. June 1st, a 6 P.M. Wedding was perfect weather wise. Carrie is wonderful, Mark is the Muffin Man. I have been traveling the world for 50 years and this place is special. Bob Ford 100 Miles N. of Toronto.

This is a WAY-WAY-WAY-WAY-WAY PAST DUE BIG THANK YOU for taking the time to share your “cozy experience” with potential future “Cozies”. We are having an amazing year, and as it is just the two of us, it seems that there are just not enough hours in the day to do everything we want…like write personal responses. However, we wanted to say thank you and we know that you know that even if this is a “generic” thank you, we know that you know it comes from the heart and we can’t wait for your return. Hugs, Hugs, and yes Tequila toe kisses. Carrie, Mark and woof – Tequila our rescue Goddess -she can't wait to meet you, she has Margaritas' spirit!

We stayed here during our National Parks tour of 18 days. We were in the middle of our tour when we landed at this beautiful oasis! Everything was wonderful. The scenery right off the patio, the delicious breakfasts that left you singing for joy! Our hosts were friendly and helpful. We would encourage anyone to stop here if relaxing among the Sedona red rocks would please you. Also, hiking the trails from the backyard was adventuresome and rewarding.

Room Tip: all rooms open to the outside, nice convenience.

This was our second visit to our favorite B & B and it was just as awesome as the first. Carrie and Mark have become like family to us, which is not hard as they are probably the best hosts you can find anywhere. The food was wonderful, the ambience quiet and serene, the views spectacular, the Cowboy Suite immaculate, and the company....SIGH...we miss them already. If you are looking for snooty and boorish, this is not your place. We stopped by the very upscale and expensive hotels in Sedona and noticed there were no views of the red rocks, there was noisy traffic, and a lot of bustle. The Cozy Cactus looks right out at Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte and you can walk right off the patio into the stuff. The quail and rabbits are about all the excitement you get here. So if you are looking for RELAXATION, GREAT VIEWS...AND THE BEST PEOPLE YOU ARE EVER GOING TO MEET...A location that is CLOSER to the sights than Sedona...(Everything is actually in Oak Creek Village. The only thing in Sedona is shopping, the airport, and some restaurants). COZY CACTUS IS THE ONLY PLACE TO STAY...I will say it again...COZY CACTUS IS THE ONLY PLACE TO STAY!!!! We are going back this fall. You cannot help but go back. THIS PLACE IS THAT GOOD!

Just finished a wonderful vacation touring Arizona and New Mexico. Our first stop was Sedona and we stayed at the Cozy Cactus B&B for 4 nights. What a wonderful place. Great rooms, great food and YES Mark's muffins are amazing BUT Carrie's breakfasts are outstanding!!. Always trying to please their guests, whether helping out with things to do during the day or restaurants at night. We have never been in a B&B with such service and hospitality. So much, that we decided to go back at the end of our vacation. We cancelled or reservations in Scottsdale to go back to the Cozy Cactus. The rooms are very nice and so clean! The view from the patio is worth a million dollars. So nice to sip a glass of wine at the end of the day enjoying the scenery. Birds, chipmunks (I actually saw Alvin!!!! yes yes I'm sure!!), rabbits, quails (and no we don't eat quails!!). So looking forward to going back in the fall or early winter. Can't wait to see Marguerita!!! again. BTW they have great T-Shirts and mugs for sale. They are actually very nice and not WEIRD looking (couldn't find a better word then weird ...my French is getting in the way)

We stayed at the Cozy Cactus for three nights in February 2011 so I feel guilty for taking so long to write this review as we absolutely loved our stay. On arrival we were met by Mark, Carrie and a woofing Margi, welcomed and immediately felt at home. It was Super Bowl night and we had expected to head out to watch the game but Mark and Carrie had the game on, provided some tasty snacks and nibbles and helped explain the rules to the confused English guests (me included). We couldn’t cheer on the Steelers to victory despite being provided with ‘terrible towels’ but it was a great night and fun to get to know everyone staying at the B&B.

As other contributors have noted, breakfast is indeed an event and not to be missed. I will be controversial though – in my opinion Mark’s scones surpassed the famous muffins. Mark also takes great pride in his coffee (for good reason) so you can be assured that you will be well fed and ‘javinated’ before heading out to explore the wonderful sights of Sedona.

We got some great recommendations from Mark and Carrie on where to go for dinners and other spots to explore. We very much enjoyed getting to know them and hope that we can drop by soon for another stay – we wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Sedona.

Mark and Carrie were the best hosts. They were so friendly and really made our trip memorable. One of my favorite parts of our whole trip was sitting on the patio, eating an amazing breakfast, and watching all the birds, bunnies, and chipmunks. So serene! The breakfast was absolutely delicious, the room was very comfortable, and the hosts were beyond expectations. I would highly highly recommend this B & B for your stay. You won't regret it!!
