“Stop Looking! This is the place to stay!”
Reviewed August 7, 2006

What a great place to stay! Four of us stayed in the house and it was quite comfortable! The living and dining rooms are huge and large enough for a larger group. The furnishings were comfortable and spotlessly clean. The fireplace was preset with wood and kindling so all that was needed was to light the match. The full kitchen had most of the basic condiments needed. There are nice touches all around (including a nice cucmber soap in the shower). Beds were comfortable. The pictures do not do this place justice. Beautiful red rock views from most every window.

The grounds are also beautiful, and include hammocks, shaded grass, flowers, mediation areas, and a yert! There is also a children's play area and the landscaping does not have any chemicals so it is safe for play. This place has terrific energy...is very calming and the view is out of this world. We will definitely return!

I booked this lodge for me and four girlfriends for an overnight writing retreat. We had a blast! We stayed at the Homestead House, which fit us comfortably. The house was charming--a full kitchen, a cozy dining area, two bathrooms, and a humongous living room that had gorgeous views. The hammocks outside were a popular destination, and the place was wonderfully convenient to Cathedral Rock and its vortex. There's also a wonderful poet in residence who, if you're lucky, will come to your door and recite one of his beautiful poems. And my four friends? They all were planning a return visit with husbands and children.

Its 109 and there are fires. Im sleeping comfortable in a hammock at 10AM outside in the shade just fine.....and I hate the heat!.

Stayed here for 3 days while family stayed in a larger hotel in downtown Sedona. Loved it. Small. Quite. Lots and lots of shade. So much you didnt feel like you were in the desert. I first though this may be way to "new age/hippe" for me. No way. Everything was great and would stay there again. Best in Sedona from what I can see. Room was cool with an A/C. Beds clean and comfortable. Great massage in my room. Was like a second home.

Our group included 2 families and 4 dogs! We had a wonderful time and found the lodge to be extremely comfortable with everything you need provided (except food, of course). The kitchens have everything you need to cook on your own. The grounds are very neatly kept and there is a wonderful outdoor fire pit fully stocked with wood. The manager and owner, SistiAna, is very helpful and friendly. We stayed in the Amigo Suite. It's like a cozy apartment that was just perfect for my husband, myself and our adult daughter as well as our 2 dogs. Our friends stayed in the main house, which is also very nice, with 6 adults. Both dwellings were spotlessly clean. Sedona was more beautiful than we could have imagined. I highly recommend this retreat.

Beautiful fully-furnished homes and suite in the red rock mountains, only minutes from the downtown scene yet totally away from it all. Magnificent view of Cathedral Rock and surrounding mountains. Great staff make you feel welcome. Kitchen and living areas have everything you need to feel comfortable and relaxed. Our third visit here didn't disappoint.

This has got to be the best-kept secret in Sedona! We loved it.

They only have 3 rental units. Most of the property is landscaping, with a bamboo garden, hammocks, bbqs, and lawns...beautiful! We stayed in the Cottage for a few nights, and also stayed in the Amigo Suite for a night.

While the Amigo Suite is a little larger and has a breath-taking view of Cathedral Rock, we'd recommend staying in the Cottage. It has a great patio deck, claw foot tub in the bathroom, that opens up to a little garden, and the whole wall is windows. So, you can soak in the tub with the glass doors opened up to the garden and still have privacy. It also has a cool little loft, with a few small beds in the loft, for kids.

Also, the Amigo Suite is located above the managers office, so, at least during business hours, you have to be kind of quiet. ;)

The prices are great for Sedona, and you get much, much more for your money than you do at a regular hotel. The place is homey, more private, prettier, and extremely comfortable. It's a few miles out of town, but that was a plus for us, and it's just a short drive from Oak Creek.

We spent our 1st wedding anniversary here, and we will DEFINITELY be going back!!

We were so happy to find this haven off the beaten path, yet less than 10 minutes from the heart of busy Sedona. It was perfect for our group which included two couples and a Border Collie who appreciated the lush grounds of the property. This "retreat center" consists of only three units. Our friends had the Amigo Suite and we had The Cottage. Both featured extremely well stocked kitchens and thoughtful touches throughout. Everything about the place had a special feeling, highlighted by the warm hospitality of the staff. This is a beautiful spot to relax after taking in the fantastic scenery and shopping of the area. It is a "self-catering" accomodation-there are no restaurants or stores nearby, but the Safeway is easy to find. We would not trade the experience of BBQing on our deck enjoying the twinkling white lights-both encircling the deck and filling the sky overhead. Delightful!
