Little bit of a wait, but well worth it. Food and service were top notch. You won't regret eating there. You will regret that you passed the place up.Bon Apetite.

As locals we typically avoid the known high-volume tourist places especially during the peak season. However my husband had never eaten at Elote so we decided it was time. We waited 2 hours. I would have waited 4. The food is amazing. The flavor profiles are complex with various layers of sweet, savory, tangy and spicy in each dish. Other reviewers have noted that it is pricey for a Mexican restaurant but it is in line with Sedona pricing and actually a good value for what you are getting. In addition, calling it a Mexican restaurant is a disservice. This is not comparable to your average Mexican restaurant and thus you can't expect the same pricing standard. Ingredients are fresh, local in some cases, and the dishes are completely unique. The service is very friendly and efficient and Chef Jeff even makes frequent table visits and brings guests their food which is always a nice touch. The staff seem to love their jobs and that is always a good sign of a good quality restaurant. Don't be put off by the wait. Put your name in and plan to walk around Tlaquepaque nearby or bring a deck of cards and sip on a margarita. You won't regret it. It is worth the hype.

This place did not disappoint! Service was top notch. Be prepared to wait if you don't make the first seating. The great part is you can order a cold margarita and they will give you spicy popcorn. You can then take it over to the covered patio where you wait for your buzzer to go off. The food was outstanding. I ordered the lamb shank that was cooked for 16 hours and tender! Served in a spicy sauce! Fantastic! This place also has some of the best red sangria. You must also try the Elote! The desserts were fantastic. Had the homemade ice cream and the crepes. Prices are reasonable for the food quality. This is not your typical Mexican American but is more like a collection of gourmet Mexican dishes you would find while dining at some of the top notch restaurants in Mexico! We enjoyed our meal. On a side note, if you are traveling with very small kids the wait times may not be for you.

An hour wait? Why? Because every bite makes it worth it.

Sit and have a drink while eating some complementary popcorn and the time will pass quickly.

The menu is small and the few things our table tried were all excellent. Others we chatted with while waiting for our table had been before and had made the trip from Scottsdale just for the meal.

Get in your car, leave uptown and eat here!

The food was excellent, especially the namesake Elote appetizer. While the meal was good, it's not worth waiting forever to be seated. Thankfully, we only had a 20 minute wait. Our food did take a little longer than usual to come out, but they kept us munching on chips and really good salsa.
