“The Best Mexican I have EVER had!”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

This place truly has the BEST Mexican I have ever had! The staff is top-notch professionals... always asking what we needed, making sure there was plenty of water, drinks, chips and salsa... they knew the food and recommended things according to our tastes... the food was amazing! Tasty and locally sourced where available... The wait is LONG and NO reservations accepted...but if you go just after the first dinner crowd (around 6:30ish pm) or go right at opening 5pm Tuesday - Saturday you might be able to get a table fairly quickly... Also I HIGHLY recommend eating outside (Al Fresco)... Great Views and Blankets over each chair on those cool nights... Lastly... it is a pricey place to eat... and it is not children friendly... Recommended for Couples and Special Occasions

“Appetizer and dessert were best”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

Very popular, arrive 4:30 to be seated at 5 and avoid a long wait. Drive up the hill behind the restaurant for handicap/wheelchair access. Service is outstanding. The signature Elote appetizer is a fabulous taste treat, also the Ginger Margarita and Crepas de Cajeta dessert. But our Carne Asada was tough and hard to chew. The Lamb Adobo was cooked to fall-off-the-bone tenderness, but could have had a tastier sauce—perhaps with stronger barbecue flavor, or served in a hot casserole, topped with some of the Elote appetizer?? Squash served on the side was in too-large chunks, undercooked and chewy, and could have benefitted from a sweeter brown sugar-butter-cinnamon dressing.

“fantastic!”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

wonderful, amazing, best Mexican food we have ever had! Make sure to get there early - it opens at 5PM and we were in line at about 4:40PM, with about 10-15 parties ahead of us. Definitely worth the wait!

“Wonderful”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

Our B&B host told us about this place. He told us not to miss it but to be there by 4:30 or you'll have to wait. Well, we didn't get there until 6ish and there was a long line. But, there were two seats at the bar which we grabbed and we were so happy we did. We hate waiting, but this place is worth waiting for. Even at the bar, the service was excellent and the limited menu (same as the restuarant) had dishes that were even more extradinary in person than their description on the menu. This was a little pricey but worth it. This was easily the best restaurant we visited on our 10 day trip!

“Great Mexican meal”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

As noted by other reviewers, there seems to always be a wait, but the meal is worth the wait. They have a good setup for waiting - a walk up bar to get a drink and both an indoor and outdoor seating area to wait in. Great margaritas. The menu is definitely not "typical" Mexican but is absolutely delicious. Our party was 4 people and we all had something different - hard to decide which was the best. You have to start with the signature Elote appetizer - amazing.
