Taking a guided tour of the Grand Canyon is the best way to see this wonderful treasure. Our guide, Bob, was very informative and was fun to be with. I would recommend him to anyone.

We took two tours with Adventure Southwest. This being our first trip to Arizona, we wanted to see as much as possible in the short time we had. We had 2 phone conversations with Drew who set us up with something he was sure we could handle--the South Rim tour, and Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend tour. Our guides were Bob and Elizabeth, respectively. We found both guides to be punctual, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable, with a lot of first hand experience of the area. They answered all of our questions, told a lot of first hand stories, relayed area history, and allowed us plenty of time to explore. Bob brought a telescope and used it to point out areas in the canyon that we would not have been able to see on our own. We found the scenery at the Grand Canyon to be breath-taking and Antelope Canyon was awe inspiring. Can't wait to go back!

Our guide, Bob, picked us up at our Flagstaff hotel and drove to the Grand Canyon. He didn't have much to say going or coming back which made the drive seem that much longer. We would have been better off taking the shuttle from the parking lot in the morning and finishing the rest of the park, not accessible by the shuttle, in the afternoon. The tour was boring and considering we were at the Grand Canyon of all places, that is sad.

Excellent experience with SW tours, they picked us up early for a tour of Lower Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, and Lake Powell. We started with a drive to Horseshoe Bend, it's a natural phenomenon and a short easy hike to the look out and famous photo opp. Bring a hat and sunscreen and hiking shoes or trail running shoes that you don't mind getting sandy. The lunch was simple but delicious sandwiches, pasta salad, chips and fruit which we ate by a look-out near Lake Powell. Our guide had an array of knowledge of the area and made helpful suggestions to our week long trip for other not-to-miss sights. The favorite activity was Antelope Canyon!!! The gorgeous photos are breath-taking and even though it was crowded inside, you lose awareness because you are overwhelmed with the splendor of the orange hues and the light. We went in the afternoon around 1 pm, but I heard the morning light is even better. By having a SW guide we didn't have to wait as long as the random people, but we had to wait our turn in the heat. Luckily the Navajo guides hand out water and there's a little shade to wait. Our guide, Vanessa was amazing at knowing the perfect camera angles and settings on iphones for awesome photos. The Antelope Canyon photos are stunning and I am so happy we splurged on a guide to help us enjoy the trip.

I booked my tour last minute and was so grateful to have been accommodated. I was traveling by myself and our guide, Elizabeth was so attentive to our group . She gave us detailed information about the canyon itself and its history . I was worried that by being a solo traveler id feel left out but she made me feel welcome and brought the group together. I had a great time! The tasty lunch was an added bonus!
