Attraction details
Owner description: The Kraus family came to Sedona in 1993 with all their worldly goods and a dream, to brew great fresh beer the way Fred learned at the Gasthausbrauerei Hufeisen, or Horseshoe Brewery, in the picturesque village of Pottenstein, Germany. The dream became reality when they opened the doors of Oak Creek Brewing Co. in west Sedona. Known to locals and tourists alike as the place to enjoy delicious handcrafted brews in a relaxed, unique setting.

Our family (all adults) enjoyed a relaxing, casual afternoon sampling great, fresh beer here. We sat in the beer garden out back with the locals and did some serious beer tasting. We even left with a growler to go to make a perfect end to a lovely warm day in Sedona. This place is hidden from the touristy area and we loved it. The Garmin helped us find the place!

“Just for beer”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

We visited the brewery and got ourselves growler of the Nut Brown ale. Good body with caramel notes, but the finish was a little lacking. Maybe it loses a little something in the growler vs. fresh out of the tap. Wish we had more time to sample the seasonal brews, but will make a point the next time we're in Sedona. They have a nice back porch with a fire pit. I think dogs are allowed, but check first.

“Very accommodating”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

There were 9 of us coming in at lunch time without a reservation. They put us at a large round table with 9 chairs - wonderful because we could hear everyone at the table. The food was excellent and very large portions.

“Neat Place, Cold Beer, Friendly Locals”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

Stopped here for a cold beer and had hot dogs at Simon's-a little take out window before you get to the "bar"-had the beer sampler and found one I liked so ordered a glass and rested in the cool air--bartender was friendly, informative as were the locals haning out.

“Good food and beer”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

Stopped in for lunch last week. Waitress did a great job explaining all the beers. My husband is a home brewer so he always likes sampling new beer. He had an IPA which he liked and I tried a new beer with orange blossom and vanilla (girly beer!). I had a burger and he had a roast beef with brie sandwich. Delicious fries and onion rings. Good sized portions. Very good service for your basic burger place.
