“HOME AWAY FROM HOME”
Reviewed July 11, 2009

This was our first time in Sedona. We had a 2-bedroom/2 full baths end unit on the 2nd floor with a balcony overlooking a lumber yard, but the view from beyond was amazing -- mountains of red rock formations! The unit was very comfortable for a party of 5. It had all the amenities of home, in addition to an small island in the kitchen -- complete with kitchenware. The lobby was serviced with friendly staff, along with coffee and lemonade beverage corner, and an wi-fi area equipped with a computer. We asked about a tour of the vortex and the concierge service recommended the red rock jeep tours. It was an awesome tour with an awesome tour guide. Overall, the property was very nice with ample parking spaces. We enjoyed our stay at this facility and would come back.

We just returned from a week's stay at the Wyndham Sedona.
We had a two bedroom condo which proved to be spacious and clean.
The location was great but the view - overlooking a parking lot wasn't the best.
Not to mention the trash pickup every other day and the man blowing leaves in the adjacent parking lot at 10 PM one evening.
The staff was very nice and all facilities were clean and well cared for.
I just wish our view had been better and we hadn't been awaken at 4:30 AM three days for trash pick up.
We made day trips to the Grand Canyon, various climbing sites, Red Rock state parks and ruins....all well worth the time.
My husband and his brother played golf at the Sedona Golf Resort and said the view on the various holes was spectacular.
The staff seemed upset that we didn't want a timeshare update, after having had two within the last 6 months...but after a stern "not Interested" they finally left us alone.

Stayed for one week. Large spacious rooms, and the facilities were maintained very well. The staff offered a lot of activities including hiking local trails and were very knowledgable. I highly recommend this condo.

I stayed at the Wyndham with another couple and couldn't have been more pleased with the accomodations. We had a 2 bedroom/2 bath suite and didn't feel cramped at all. It wasn't close to the main drag of Sedona, but its a close drive (about 5 minutes) so it wasn't bad.

Sedona is a cute town, but I must say the restaurants could use some improving. Perhaps its because there is a lot of TexMex, and I'm just not a big fan at all. We ate at Oaxaca the first night. I should have listened to the reviews...it really was terrible.

We did the Pink Jeep Tour at sunset which was fabulous! We did get a 2 for 1 deal by attending a timeshare. I thought the $75 per person fee was a bit steep if we didn't have that deal.

The one negative of the Wyndham was that our room faced the road. This meant that daily 4am garbage trucks would wake me up when they hit the speed bump just outside our window. If you stay here, make sure not to get a room on Kestral. There are speed bumps to slow traffic, but as a result you hear trucks banging along all day (and early morning!) long. Other than that, the rooms were extremely quiet and private if you close the windows. I definately recommend!

Spent 2 nights with husband and 2 children. The room was clean, very spacious and very comfortable. There was 3 tvs in the 2 bedroom unit. The balcony overlooked the red rocks and the view was beautiful. The staff was very friendly, helpful and not pushy into selling you a timeshare. We took one of their hikes on the property and it was scenic. I strongly recommend taking a map and hiking to "coffee pot" rock. In the unit I was able to cook and do laundry because the room was well stocked with kitchen utensils and appliances. There is a supermarket within minutes and a walk in health clinic a mile down the road. We had one child who was sick and needed antibiotics. We had a very nice stay and would definately go back. The pool was heated and my husband enjoyed his morning swim.

The wyndham Sedona was Awesome! The timeshare people were the most uninvasive bunch you could ask for we got asked once to do a tour and we said no and they left it at that. The hospitality was amazing. We were in room 1215 which must have been a handicapped room becuase this room was HUGE. giant hallway Giant bathroom big sized kitchen huge deck. The views from our room weren't that fantastic but the room itself made up for it. The amenities were great the pool and hot tub were clean and very nice. The are around the hotel is convenient for grocery shopping and dinig out and Sedona itself was wonderful!

This was my first time in Sedona, I went with my parents and sister. My parents traded their time share for a unit here. The unit was great! We had a two bedroom and two bath end unit, very spacious. I did look into some of the one bedroom units and they were tiny. The units have everything you need, and when we called for more towels or paper towels they came right away. The beds were comfortable and the furniture was all updated. The only issue is that the water pressure in the shower was not much.

As far as resort planned activities, there are a few scheduled, but not many. We did go on a guided hike which was excellent and the tour guide was great, and best of all it was free. We used the gym which is small but fine if you just want to do the basics. There game room was also fun for a game of air hockey and foosball. They also have lots of board games and puzzles you can take to your room.

The location was great. I would recommend if staying in Sedona to stay here.
