“Elegant, Relaxing, and Delicious”

I guess all restaurants can have their off days, but our experience at El Rincon was wonderful. It's not a huge restaurant so you might have to wait, but they try to make even that enjoyable with a courtyard bar and live music. It looked to me like more than a few locals were there and enjoying themselves. Yes, we got to hear the band in the courtyard while we waited (a short time) for our table and yes, the marguaritas were excellent. But what was really good was the food and atmosphere. Menu limited? True, but I would rather have fewer items done really well than tons of entries done carelessly. I did not think our entries were true Tex-Mex; it seemed lighter and less greasy than that. Service was just right: not speedo but the right pace for the food. I would go again in a heartbeat.

“Was I in the right place?”
Reviewed October 16, 2013 via mobile

We were very disappointed in this place. The menu is extremely limited to standard tex-mex fare. They didn't even have fajitas on the menu. I've had better tacos and refried beans at Taco Bell. Even the margarita was only mediocre. I wouldn't rate it "poor" but or definitely was below average. Too bad the only good Mexican restaurant in town requires over an hour wait even on a Tuesday.

“Amenities galore here @ El Rincon”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

A fair rating for the mex fare as I find myself liking 3 other Mex spots far better. Yet not to be overlooked for all the right reasons.
An intimate courtyard with Gaetano playing Flamenco Guitar on Mon &Tues eves while the weather allows, thumbs up.Sal, the Margarita master outside ans serving up great traditional and prickly pear margaritas at every special event, thumbs up. A patio shrouded with Oak creek Sycamore trees, thumbs up.
Although the food is not to my taste, everything thing else , especially the Tlaquepaque location is so right.

“Fantastic food & great music on the plaza!”
Reviewed October 15, 2013 via mobile

What a great night. We went to hear authentic guitar in the most romantic setting (sorry, it ends tonight 'til next summer), and two traveling violinists jumped in for the best Spanish jam! So, go for the food. It's our favorite Mexican food and although we had a small glitch, our bartender, Marla got owner Demetrio quickly involved and he personally took great care of us. Thank you!!

“One of the best Mexican restaurants in Sedona”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

We've come here many years for the margaritas and sopapillas, but really enjoyed a recent lunch. The chicken fajita salad was very good and the Navajo pizza was a special treat. For a change of pace, try the midori margarita, and don't pass up a sopapilla (one order is enough for two or three), served with honey, for desert.
