This place is a little different than I expected, but I was pleasantly surprised with the caring, attentive staff. I have to say that it is not a resort by any means - the premises are not very large, the rooms are not located within one building - it is set up more like a motel but more luxurious. The Spa services were incredible! I loved the Spa staff, especially Lorelei and Heather. They were phenomenal. The Spa itself does not have a lot of amenities, but it offers superior quality services and they are very flexible and caring. The room had a fireplace that did not work properly, and although we notified the front desk about it, after inspecting it they told us simply that "the trick" was to turn the switch on and off very fast - which did not always work. The room also did not have a bathtub, only a large shower, but it had a rain shower which was very nice. It is located within walking distance to some shops, but not to the part of Sedona where the village and the main restaurants and commerce are. Though if you are a walker like me you will think it's doable. Overall I would say the place was very cozy, very nice, and the best part about it is definitely the staff. They let you check in early, the reservation is what you expect it to be, and they are very kind and attentive to your needs. Reds, the restaurant, is very good as well. Fast service and very good food.

While in Sedona for a family Thanksgiving we spent the night at the Rouge. We were allowed into our room at noon and went on our way with family matters. We returned in the evening full of turkey and wine. We went upstairs to tne rooftop firepit and no one was there. I asked the front desk and they could not have been nicer and efficient in getting the pit lit and warmers on. It is a nice place to socialize and relax after a long day. We then got a small plate in REDS and then used the very Hot Tub before settling into our comfortable bed. We had breakfast the next morning before departing. The one thing standing out was that the relatively young staff on duty was Very helpful and even enthusiastic about pleasing the folks. This is our first stay here ( we have stayed at other high end Sedona spots) and will reture due to great staff. They must be well trained

Room Tip: Room 107 had an outdoor patio with chairs. No views but nice.Do not expect a large room but it was great

The hotel is a bit pricey with the resort fee and taxes, BUT if you can get one of the packages, it is well worth it!!! It was a beautiful property located in West Sedona (which we loved as it is a little bit away from the middle of the tourist trap of the main strip) and has all the amenities. We saw complaints about the location in other reviews, but disagree. It is centrally located and we were not bothered that it was surrounded by businesses, as Sedona is a busy place and we found this location quieter than staying on Hwy 89. The hotel was quiet. Lots of fountains and impeccable surroundings. We ate all our breakfasts there and a couple dinners with room service and were quite happy. The staff was friendly. The room was a nice size, but felt cozy. Had a comfortable bed, nice view, fireplace, and a great shower (I like having a bathtub so that was a bummer, but the hot tub made up for it). I had a massage at the spa by Rachel and she was fantastic! I'm picky about massages, so this is saying a lot.

The only issue we had was really with the other guests and Sedona Rouge's enforcement of the non-smoking policy. The hotel claims to be a non-smoking hotel, but this didn't seem to be the case according to the other guests. All three nights and our last morning there, we dealt with smoke coming into our room from other guest balconies. The last day we were there, we were actually woken up by smoke from another room at 6:00 am. I think the balconies need no smoking signs or the front desk needs to reiterate at check-in that the entire property is non-smoking, including decks and balconies. We don't want to be the smoking police, but we also don't want to inhale it either. We like to sleep with the sliding door or windows open for fresh air as hotel rooms can be stuffy, so this was a problem. We called down a couple of times, but it seemed to just pop up in another room after. That was quite disappointing.

We booked thru expedia, had no idea what to expect as it was our first experience with SRH&S and Expedia! SRH&S exceeded our expectations. We recieved a premium room with vaulted ceilings and fireplace. We enjoyed our stay so much that we chose to come back on our way thru a day later and stay. The bed was too comfy - LOL I fell a sleep within minutes of my head hitting the pillow. The shower is amazing and soap so wonderful.
Staff was incredibly helpful and even helped with a discount on our spontaneous decision to come back and stay an additional day. Close to amenities - Safeway and Starbucks for morning and hikes munchies. Don't pass up the opportunity to stay here!!!

Room Tip: Choose premium for the vaulted ceilings and fireplace or choose the view rooms in the back...either way you won't be disappointed!!!

This was my first stay at the Sedona Rouge and my husband and I had a wonderful time! The room was very spacious, the grounds were impeccable, and the staff was fantastic. The resort was very close to many great restaurants and attractions. It was right around the corner from the Oak Creek Brewery and about 15 minutes from Page Springs winery. I really loved the amenities within the room - the coffee and tea were delicious and the shampoo/lotions smelled great. Reds was also a great place to grab breakfast (loved the Tofu Scramble) or just have a glass of wine at the end of the night (bartenders were very friendly and knowledgeable). Perfect place for a nice getaway!
