“Wonderful short trip to Sedona”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 21, 2013

First trip to Sedona and stayed at Sedona Rouge. Started with couples massage at the Spa which truely helped to lose the stress that we brought with us right away. Room was very good and clean, but not outstanding. Staff was very firendly and helpful. Great consierge helped arrange a couple of trips including open door helicopter trip that was spectacular! Enjoyed the jacuzzi and fireplace after coming back from the day and transitioning to the evening outings. Lovely outdoor yoga class on Saturday.

Green Features: Actually leave the towels hanging for use the next day.

The pictures are very deceiving. We were suppose to stay 3 nights but pulled the plug after one night. It is not a resort!!! It is located on a main highway with a view of a grocery store. The pool is the size of a foot bath. There is no lobby and really no service. We wanted to move but for are whole stay but they would have charged us. When trying to locate the hotel we tried calling Abd the staff didn't even answer the phone. We switched to the Hilton Resort and man.... We were so happy. 3 pools, a real full service spa, located in a picture perfect setting. And we paid only $179 verse $300 at the rouge. The room were descent and I will say reds the resturant was good. If you are looking for. Quiet beautiful setting try Hilton.

Dear Shawn,
Please call me to discuss, my direct line is 928 340 5304.
Yes, during your dates of stay the room upgreade you requested was $20 per night.
Our spa and restaurant are fully operating so I am not sure which services you are referring to.

I look forward to your call,

Sincerely,

This was my second stay at the hotel. Wasn't quite as impressed this time as the first a few years ago. The front desk folks were borderline rude during check-in, and not really nice about resolving an issue with my room. It's still a pretty little hotel, with great views if you're towards the back & not facing the parking lot. Didn't eat much at the hotel restaurant, but what we ate was good, just not remarkable. As others have commented, everything shuts down early, so if you want wine or a cocktail after dinner, walk next door to the Safeway to purchase it. I loved the soap & other products in the room so much that I bought some to bring home.

Room- Decent. It was the bathroom that left a lot to be desired. One larger shower with a European style half door, so it was hard to stay warm in the shower unless you steam up the entire bathroom. Great hotel if you get a room rate of $200 or less.

Very basic, small pool. My friends enjoyed the spa.

We enjoyed the 8am yoga class ($10 charge per person).

We ate breakfast every morning in the restaurant. Very tasty and good prices.

We went to the Sedona Rouge for a 3 night mini-vacation in April. It was magical from the moment we stepped inside.
The Hotel is off a busy street, but you walk into the resort and enter a mini oasis. The very first activity we planned was a couples massage at the Spa. It was great, very peaceful. They had the most fantastic ROBES! They were Kashwere, which are found in upscale Spas (and also an Oprah favorite thing!). They also had a steam room for men and women (my boyfriend’s favorite!). We then had dinner at the hotel restaurant, Reds. We sat at the bar area and had many of the small plates - all were delicious. My favorite was probably the fish sliders.
The room was very clean, spacious, and fully appointed. The soap was lovely! I wish I had mini bars of it at my house. The bed very comfortable and the only thing that awoke me in the morning were the birds.
The Concierge was very attentive and the recommended extracurricular activites (helicopter tour, jeep rental, and Pink Jeep Tour, Hiking trails) were exactly what we needed and enjoyed.
Thank you Sedona Rouge!

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the Mountains.

This was our first trip to Sedona, and the Sedona Rouge had been recommended to us. It was a beautiful hotel, with a relaxing vibe. It was well-kept, the rooms were good-sized, and the staff were friendly and professional. JJ, the concierge, was extremely helpful about where to go and what to do. With the minor exception that the restaurant/bar shuts down around 9:30 (like most of the town from what we could tell), I could not think of one thing about our weekend that was less than perfect. I would stay here again any time.

Room Tip: ask for mountain views, towards the back of the hotel and away from the street.

The hotel was beautiful. They upgraded us to an enormous suite with awesome views. I had one of my top five massages ever from Nancy at the spa. Our only complaint was the hotel (and really the whole town) shuts down at 9:00ish. We couldn't even get a glass of wine past 9:30 from the bar. There was a grocery store next door to buy our own, but we had a group of 14 people and wanted to be social outside of someone's room. The fire pit on the upper deck needs to be larger and warmer too! But it was really a great trip... staff and food were excellent!

Room Tip: We stayed in a suite that at one time was clearly two rooms, but we had a nice living room, two FULL...
