Stayed July 30 and 31, 2012. Surprised with how nice this hotel turned out to be. Our room was nice and very clean, not the Bellagio, but still nice. We used the restaurant, Red's, for breakfast and dinner. Pretty good. Also after dinner went into the lounge had a very nice time. Close to shopping. Would stay again.

First time visitors to Sedona. Spent two nights on TravelZoo package for $399. Included two nights in deluxe room, two massages and $30 in breakfast each day. Massages and food valued in at $300 alone so the overall value of our package was very good.

Location of the hotel is very central. Walking distance to several restaurants and grocery store next door. 3 miles to town a few miles in either direction to hiking and off roading. Hotel is directly on 89A but set back with parking in front. Never heard road noise in room, spa or pool.

Check in was seamless. They had our room keys, vouchers and hotel info waiting for us when we arrived - always a nice touch. Concierge was very helpful with tips for off road fun as well as transportation options for dinner if we didn't want to drive or walk. Room was clean and ready at 1 p.m.

Assigned room 242, 2nd level at front of hotel. View overlooks the parking lot but from what we can see, there is not much in the way of views from most room here. We did not feel it warranted the cost of an upgrade. Our corner room had two sets of sliders with lots of natural light. Fireplace, king bed, small fridge and sufficient storage for two. Nice size bathroom with huge walk in shower. Great water pressure from both rain head above and shower head on wall and each had separate controls. Open air shower might prove to be a little chilly in the colder months but the experience during our visit was enjoyable. Plenty of towels and spa like amenities were provided. King size bed was very comfortable.

Each of the four people in our group received a one hour massage upon arrival. The women had male therapists and said both were one of the best massages they have ever had. Myself and other male traveler had female therapists and both were below average. Speaking of mine alone, she was clearly not a "spa" trained massage professional. (forgot to adjust bolster, continuously removed her hands from me to walk over and get more oil, lights were super bright on flip, etc.) I have had massages all over the world and this ranks near the bottom. A decent facility overall but your experience may vary based on your therapist.

Common areas of hotel are very nice and well kept. Pool area is small but sufficient for the size of the property. We never had a hard time with chairs and never more than a few people that came and left after a quick dip. Although we did order some food and drinks poolside both days, the staff did not object to outside beverages which was a nice change. Fountains around the lobby are very peaceful and offer a nice place to sit and relax. Third level deck was not offering any service but did have tables and chairs for relaxing or in our case, late night star gazing with a nightcap. All hotel staff encountered were professional and polite

Restaurant on property, Reds, was decent. Breakfast was fairly average and service during this meal was a bit scattered both days. (despite no more than 5 tables dining) Appetizers and service poolside were very good. We did not eat any other meals here.

Two nearby restaurants that we HIGHLY recommend are Elote and Dahl and Dilucca. Separate reviews of each will be posted but both FAR exceeded our expectations.

Overall a very pleasant stay and we would return without hesitation.

Room Tip: I believe that 2nd and 3rd floor rooms only have walk in shower while 1st floor are tub and shower combo. No bad locations here so select based on needed space and desired amenities.

We brought our dog with us on a weekend trip to Sedona and stayed at the Sedona Rouge. They gave us a room on the ground floor which led outside to the grassy "backyard", perfect for the dog. The room was stylish and the bed very comfortable. The olive oil mint soap in the bathroom smells so good! The grounds are nice and the pool lounge chairs looked comfy, although we did not get a chance to lounge by the pool this trip. Next time! The location of the hotel is good- right in town and also close to some dog-friendly hiking trails. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely stay at the Sedona Rouge again.

Room Tip: higher floors facing the mountains probably have great views!

I absolutely LOVE this hotel! I have stayed several times and would never stay anywhere else in Sedona. The rooms are luxurious, good views, quiet rooms, comfy beds, the staff is very helpful and friendly, and a great value for the money. This time I brought my boyfriend and he was very impressed. Couldn't ask for more!

Also- eat at Shugru's!!! Great views and great food!!!!

My husband and I took a 31 day road trip, we decided since we were so close to home(Tucson) we would splurge on our last night on the dusty road. The Sedona Rouge was the perfect choice. My husband basically spent an hour in the fabulous shower/bath tub area. A glorious wet area. We dropped our bags and rushed into the bar, the check in staff had graciously given us a coupon for a complimentary appetizer, with generous drinks and the food we just felt put back together. The air conditioner was whisper quiet, we are going back at Thanksgiving. Thank heavens. We could barely leave this wonderful place. The entire staff is outstanding.

Room Tip: I cannot imagine a bad room here, I really could not give a hint
