“Our Favorite Inn in Sedona”
Reviewed March 17, 2008

We just got back from our SECOND stay at Adobe Grand Villas. The first time, we stayed in White Dove, which I thought was absolutely FANTASTIC! So fantastic, I could hardly wait to stay there again. This time we stayed in Sagebrush. Who could guess that this room would be even MORE beautiful than White Dove? OK, the view from Sagebrush is not as good as the view from White Dove, but what really won me over was the amazing waterfall shower - it comes out of a tipped over clay pot on a shelf in the huge walk in shower! There is a huge jacuzzi for 2, two fireplaces. And then there was the spectacular carved wooden bed! Everything you need for a romantic weekend!

As on our previous trip, Michael prepared two great breakfasts - French toast on the first day and a spinach omelet on the second day. YUMMO!

On our first stay, the innkeepers hooked us up with a local guide who took us 4-wheel driving nearly all day. We had a splendid time. This time, we drove up to the old copper mining "haunted" town of Jerome and had a wonderful time taking scenic photos and shopping. Later we drove to Cathedral Rock for a wedding.

Since Adobe Grand Villas doesn't have a liquor license or a restaurant for dinner, we took a short drive down the street and picked up some wine at a liquor store on the way to dinner. We ate at Cucina Rustica on the first night - great food, beautiful place, not the most organized waiter, but it really didn't matter. The second night we ate at L'Auberge de Sedona - FABULOUS tasting menu featuring cheese and fois gras - so WRONG but SO VERY RIGHT!

I definitely plan to stay at Adobe Grand Villas again and again...It's just wonderful and I cannot reccomend it highly enough!

I spent 6 nights with my parents at the Adobe Grand Villas and have already re-booked for next year!

The innkeepers and chefs were amazing!

We stayed in the Silver Spur Villa which had 3 fireplaces, 2 whirlpools, 2 stall showers, and 2 king size beds! It was truly amazing and I would highly recommend the Adobe Grand Villas to anyone looking for a special time in Sedona, AZ.

Wow. What a fabulous place to stay while visiting Sedona. We stayed an extra 2 days because we loved it there. Fresh bread baking in the room everyday, apps at 4:00, cookies at 6:00 and a great 3 course breakfast every day. Don't miss Chef Michael dishing up your own personal dinner. Bring your fav wine. Excellent concierge services, large beautiful rooms, although ours did not have a view of the red rocks. We had a very private english style patio garden. Free internet service, wifi and/or ethernet and more... If Jacqueline makes your breakfast, it's always over the top. Sedona itself is full of wonder with many fine restaurants closeby as well as fantastic sights for camera buffs, hikers, bike riders, etc.

  • Disliked — The large open shower could use a door when it's cold!

We spent 3 nights at the Adobe Grand Villas in the Whispering Pine suite. It was perfect for 2 adults and one 14 year old. Very cozy with a large gas fireplace in the main room and a smaller one in the bathroom. There was a nice outdoor private sitting area available for us to use. The beds were comfortable (one king; one built in single bed) but the highlight was probably the large jacuzzi tub and walk in shower.

The staff served up a fantastic breakfast every morning. For example - one day we had fresh juice and buns; spinich and cheese omeletes; and canadian bacon. If you wanted something different (which our 14 year old did) they were happy to accommodate a special request. They made her up some scrambled eggs and toast right away.

The Villas are located a few blocks off the main road in a quiet part of town. The neighborhood was nothing special but that wasn't a negative. All things considered this is a fine place to stay.

My wife and I spent a few days hiking in Sedona while on our honeymoon and stayed at the Adobe Grand Villas for two nights in the Tuscany Villa. It was a remarkable experience! The staff were courtious and helpful. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and luxurious. And we loved the fresh baked bread which was waiting for us the first night of our stay. The continental breakfast was sensational as were the fresh baked cookies. Would we recommend Adobe Villas to anyone visiting Sedona? Without hesitation!!! We hope to be back in a year for our First Anniversary celebration.

We spent three nights at this hotel, having previously read the effusive comments fellow travellers. Whilst the rooms are unique and highly individual ,we found the experience apart from this, disappointing and grossly overpriced. The breakfast service was lamentable the background of children crying constantly in the kitchen area was not a plus factor. More worrying was the fact that we had just left the hotel and realised we had forgotten to pack some of our belongings, these included a purse. We had to ring the hotel three times before anybody bothered to return our calls, even then their attitude was to say the least , disinterested. It was only when we had to make a return visit five days later that they had been able to" locate" our properly. The management were equally dismissive of this situation. From our experience we could never recommend this highly expensive hotel, a return visit totally out of the question. We enjoyed the countrclub at St George, 20 times more.

We are high school classmates. After a 'number of years' and living 2,000 miles apart, we met again. Recently got married in Sedona, AZ.

Thereafter we spent several wonderful days at Adobe Grand Villas, Sedona, AZ!! The facilities were comfortable, peaceful and most attractive with great scenic views!! The staff was friendly, professional and helpful. The food was gourmet and served well- both in the room and dining room!!

We plan on coming back for many anniversaries!!
