This restaurant was Recommended by our hotel. Some od the iitems on the menu were interesting. We tried the cactus fries but didnt really like the taste or texture of it. Bison burger was kind of tasteless but at least the pretzel bun was good. I think one of us also had bison (or buffalo?) which was pretty good. Trout was excellent too. Awesome views.

We were in town for a few nights and strolled into this place around 8:15 one Sunday night, were seated immediately, but it was fairly full. We were greeted by our server quick found a full rack of ribs for $ 25 that we could split. Add a couple drinks like real sassafras and a local draft and we were all set. The rib meat fell off the bone, the sauce was good nice
balance of honey and spice. Good place if you are alone ( at the bar) or with a group or couples in the dining area.
The atmosphere is casual and Western saloon style, there is an outdoor area and a more upscale steak house they partner with right next door if burgers and ribs don't quite do it all for you. I'd go back to try other dishes or just have a snack at the bar. It's a place where you can get comfortable easily.

At the suggestion of our jeep tour guide, we had lunch at the Cowboy Club. We were seated on the patio, a great place to people watch. I had the French Dip and it was excellent! The ribeye on the sandwich was so tasty and tender. My husband had a hamburger and was very pleased with it. This is a great uptown place to eat.

The Cowboy Club is just that - it reminded me of an old saloon with the bar and dining areas all decked out with Longhorn steer heads, Western prints, guns, etc. It was busy, but we were able to get seated without too much of a wait. I had the vegetable pot pie with chicken, served with a side vegetable. It was very flavorful, served at the right temperature and just the right serving size to satisfy, but not feel overly full. My companion had the evenings' special - coffee encrusted bison steak. It was very good, with a pleasant unique flavor and done to the temperature requested. We also shared "Cactus Fries" as an appetizer - actual cactus cut into strips, coated and fried. It tasted similar to fried zuchinni - it was fine, but nothing to get too excited about. This restaurant had a busy, lively vibe with a hum of conversation going on - if you would like a quieter setting, the Silver Saddle is adjacent to this restaurant.

Be prepared to wait at this popular spot! The restaurant featured a few local dished such as agave fries ( delicious ) with prickly pear sauce and rattlesnake meat. The food is simply wonderful!
