Can't say enough about the tour we experienced with Sheldon as our tour guide. He knows so much about the area and his enthusiasm is contagious! We were picked up at our hotel in Sedona and headed up beautiful Oak Creek Canyon to visit some amazing national monuments outside of Flagstaff before heading up to the Grand Canyon. Sheldon made a full day of it and included lunch at a Navaho trading post as well as several stops along the east rim of the Grand Canyon before arriving at the South rim. Each view was more majestic than the last. He pointed out lots of great photo ops and shared what appeared to be limitless knowledge about our surroundings. As a bonus he is a great story teller and has an amazing sense of humor. If you want to visit the Grand Canyon, see other beautiful sights along the way, and learn about the area this is the tour for you!

We had an excellent time on our day trip to Antelope Canyon. Everything was very well organized and our excellent guide, Stevie B., made the entire experience really awesome. His information, stories, and hospitality was one of the highlights of the trip. We also stopped to view horseshoe bend which was stunning and impressive.

We had a fantastic day at the Grand Canyon with Sheldon as our guide. He is so knowledgable about the area and you can tell that he loves sharing this with others. He knows all the best photo ops and created a wonderful experience for our group of 14. He made several stops that others miss, we had a great lunch at Grand Canyon Village and had plenty of time to walk a portion of the South Rim. Ask for Sheldon!

Oh my what a tour of the Grand Canyon we experienced! Door to door service by the most courteous, knowledgable and considerate tour guide, Christian. His arrival at our hotel was exactly at the appointed time, two more stops to pick up four others and we headed up Oak Creek Crossing to Flagstaff. Along our route Christian shared so many interesting facts of things we saw and even those we couldn't see . . . WOW . . . so amazing, Ponderosa Pine forests and how they rejuveniate with forest fires and such, , plains, plateaus, and, and, and . . . Consideration was always asked about restroom stops and our first stop was at the Historic Cameron Trading Post, what a delight! Rooms and rooms of Authenic Native American souvenirs at prices meeting most budgets (about 20% below prices we'd seen elsewhere), coffee, snacks, unique and clean restrooms, and more . . . what a treat this stop was and Christian gave us plenty of time to do whatever we'd all like.

Travel continued to the Grand Canyon with Christian always on the lookout for wildlife (we saw deer, mules, and elk) and other interesting sights! Our time in the National Park was well planned and again with so much consideration of the group's interests and needs. Plenty of time to view the Grand Canyon from varous viewing sites, Grandview lookout where we could see the East and South Rims, more information from Christian pointing out the North Rim and the lodge accessible in the winter only by skiing in and out . . . Time for lunch at the Maswick Lodge cafeteria (included with the Deluxe Tour), what a delicious meal we had, so many choices and courses we didn't even select all our meal plan gave us to choose from, a real chalenge because everything looked and was so yummy!

After lunch more time at various viewing stops including the Watch Tower Obsrvatory designed by architect Mary Jane Colter, our opinion of a "not to miss" stop! The watch tower is worth the short walk and views from the tower are amazing (actual tower view would not be handicap accessible, however, there is plenty to see otherwise), the lower level of the Tower also has a small gift shop! One is able to see a Utah mountain from this spot. Also incuded in this area are separate buildings of another Gift Shop, a Snack Shop, Restrooms, in addition to a National Park Information/Gift Shop (no taxes on merchandise purchased and all profits at this shop go for park expenses . . . we recommend this shop for limited but unique items also proceeds help this natural world wonder).

Time to begin our journey back to Sedona but by a different route which included travel by Native American homelands, volcanoes and more . . . narration details from Christian. Return also included a stop at the Tusayan Natonal Geographic Visitors Center consisting of common souveniors, a hotel, a snack shop, restrooms and a separate building of artsy, extremely expensive items. Another fun stop!

Sorry this review is so lengthy and I have only touched on some of the highlights of this day! Needless to say our experience and day was so exciting and we can't say enough on how Christian made this a trip of a lifetime for us! A gentle, soft spoken young man with more knowledge to share than one can imagine, in fact one of the tourists asked if he had a recording or book of things he shared . . . we agree! Christian if you write or record what you shared on this tour we will be first in line to purchase it . . . a "Best Seller" for sure!

Oh and not to be forgotten is early on in our tour Christian told us he would also be available to take any photographs we'd like . . . and that he did . . . this young man has talent, we have many GREAT photos of us with perfect background!

(NOTE: Being the last drop off Christian quietly shared with my hubby that he had been out of the country the past eight months and this was his first tour since returning! Can one only imagine what more he will be sharing once he gets back into his full tour mode? Christian YOU ARE AMAZING! Thank you and God's blessings to you!)

Yesterday my travel companion and I I took a Great Ventures Grand Canyon tour (combined with the railway). Our tour guide was Cory. He was hands down the best tour guide we have ever had (and we've traveled the world). He was professional, kindly solicitous, and extremely knowledgable. He went out of his way to make sure every person on the bus had a fantastic time, helping with pictures & answering numerous questions from the group throughout the day. We were convinced he has an advanced degree in history, geology, botany, and zoology given the level of detail he knew about the areas we visited during the tour. But he didn't lecture us at all, but kept us entertained with stories & fascinating historical anecdotes. He is an Arizona native and has hiked thousands of mile in the Grand Canyon, his love for this beautiful region shines through. I would absolutely recommend him & this tour company to anyone visiting northern Arizona. We've done several other guided tours in Sedona since we started coming here in 1997 (Pink & Red Jeep, etc) , and while most tour companies are good, this stands out as being by far the best tour experience we've had. From what I understand the owners, a married couple, are locals and fantastic business people We will definitely be taking more of their tours in the future.
